The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients.

The selection will be purely on contract basis initially for a period of one year and based on performance extendable up to 3 years or completion of project(s) which ever is earlier. Other details are as under:

Post: Project Fellow(s)

Qualifications: M Pharm (Pharmaceutics) with minimum 60% marks. Preference will be given to distinctly high scored GATE/GPAT qualified candidates

Duration: Initially one year based on performance extendable up to 3 years or completion of project(s) which ever is earlier.

Remuneration Rs. 14,000/- pm

The candidates interested for the above posts should appear in walk-in-interview on above mentioned date and time along with their applications on plain paper with complete bio-data, details of work experience, if any, attested photocopy of Marksheet/Degrees of M.Pharm & GATE/GPAT score card. Original certificates may be produced for verification.

Only selected candidate(s) will be informed about the selection through e-mail. The appointment in the above positions does not guarantee to PhD programme of the University. If the candidate desires to pursue Ph.D. programme, he/she will have to fulfil the eligibility requirements as per Jamia Hamdard rules.

A walk in interview is scheduled on 24.5.2013 at 11:00am onwards in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy for the post of Project Fellow(s) in the following UGCMajor Research Project(s).

1. “Design of an optimum solid nanolipid vesicular system for oral bioavailability enhancement of poorly soluble lipophilic antihypertensive agent” (P.I. Dr Kanchan Kohli)
2. “Bioadhesive brain targeted nanoemulsion for the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease” (P.I. Dr Jasjeet K. Sahni)
