Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram is an Institute of National Importance established by an Act of the Indian Parliament and under the 2 administrative control of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The Institute signifies the convergence of Medical Sciences and Technology and its mission is to enable the indigenous growth of biomedical technology, besides demonstrating high standards of patient care in medical specialties and evolving postgraduate training programs. It has a hospital for tertiary care of cardiovascular and neurological diseases, and research programmes in the areas of basic and applied medical sciences, a Biomedical Technology Wing with facilities and research programmes for developing medical devices from a conceptual stage to commercialization, and The Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies for training and research in public health.

Qualification & Experience : M Sc (1st Class) in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry with one year experience in animal experiments with knowledge in ELISA assay, tissue culture and biochemical analysis and NET qualified.
Emoluments : (1) Rs 16,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) for 1st and 2nd year and Rs 18,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) during 3rd year for those who qualified for the Ph.D programme of SCTIMST and NET.
(2) Rs 12,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) for 1st and 2nd year and Rs 14,000/- + 20 % HRA (Consolidated) during 3rd year for those who qualified for the Ph.D programme of SCTIMST and NET lectureship.
Age Limit : 35 years as on 31-5-2012

Duration : Two years or till Completion of project, whichever is earlier.

Candidates reporting after 9.15 AM will NOT be considered for selection. Candidates already in service have to produce a No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the time of interview.
