National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is situated in the vicinity of a number of hospitals and research institutes in central Mumbai. Since its inception in 1970, it has been making vigorous efforts to improve the reproductive health of people through research, education and health care services. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai which awards degrees to the M.Sc. and Ph.D students in the areas of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry and Applied Biology. The Institute is one of the few centers in India , which can boast of a team of basic, clinical and operational research scientists and state-of-art laboratories equipped with modern facilities to carry out research on various components of reproductive health.
Applications are invited for Walk-in-Interview on 15-03-2011 between 09:00 hrs and 12:00 hrs. for the following vacancy under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project.
Title of the Project: - Studies on the binding specificities of Gonadotropins and their Receptors”
Post: SRF
Consolidate Salary: Rs. 14000 + 30 % HRA
Qualification: First Class M.Sc. degree in Life Sciences/ Pharmacology/Chemistry or any other relevant area of Biology AND 2years of research experience
Desirable: Experience in molecular modeling, docking, MD simulations and design of peptidomimetics
Age: 28 years
Duration: 3 years
1. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PH Candidates will be as per the government rules.
2. Qualification/degree should be from the reputed Institution/University.
3. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification/experience does not guarantee for selection.
4. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
5. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or joining the post.
6. Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department/Organizations are not eligible to apply.
