Welcome to Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), a unique P. C. Mahalanobish institution devoted to the research, teaching and application of statistics, natural sciences and social sciences. An walk-in-interview will be conducted on 28 June 2013 (Friday) at 11:00 a.m. at Human Genetics Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata for recruitment of one (01) Project linked person purely on temporary basis to work in the project titled "Significance of mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutations in the progression of normal epithelium cell to leukoplakia and cancer in oral cavity'' in the Human Genetics Unit of the Institute. Kolkata.
Qualifications : Masters degree with consistently good academic record in Biochemistry/ Biophysics/ Genetics/ Biotechnology. Candidate having experience in handling sophisticated instruments used in molecular genetics work will be preferred.
Pay : Rs. 18000/- (Rupees eighteen thousand only) per month (Consolidated).
Job Description: To assist Investigator for regular molecular genetics and cell biology experiments.
Tenure of: The appointment is upto 31 March 2014 from the date of his/ her joining the appointment institute which may be extended later/ terminated earlier based on performance and availability of the required fund.
Age: 35 years as on 01 June 2013. Age may be relaxed for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women and differently abled and extremely experienced and meritorious candidates.
