It was established in 1946 by the Maharashtra Association for the Cultivation of Science as MACS Research Institute and renamed as ARI in 1992 in honour and memory of its founder Director, late Professor S.P. Desirable: Experience in isolation characterization and Molecular identification of bacteria under archaea and reporting novel special (bacterial).
For RA under SP-205: Essential: 1st Class M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Environmental Science with publications in scientific journals.
Desirable: Experience in Microbial waste water treatment and/or microbial degradation of petroleum hydrocarbons.
For JRF: Essential: (i) 1st class M.Sc. in Microbiology & (ii) Clearance of CSIR-UGC/NET.
Desirable: Experience in Microbial Identification(molecular approach), Taxonomy/ Diversity.
