National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER), Hyderabad (Established in the year 2007) is a prestigious educational institution of national importance under the aegis of Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER, Hyderabad conducts courses in MS (Pharmacy) for two years in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students are selected through a national entrance test. Research opportunities also exist for those who would like to pursue their Doctoral Degree. The Institute is mentored by CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad a leader in Chemical Technology well known all over the world.
NIPER is now inviting applications for faculty positions on contractual basis initially for a period of one year which are likely to continue based on the performance of the candidate. Candidates will be paid handsome consolidated emoluments.

MS (PHARM) PHARMACOLOGY AND TOXICOLOGY

Name of Post: Professor, Associate Professor

Age Limit(Yrs): 55/50
Rate of Consolidated remuneration/ month: Rs.75000/- + TA/ Rs.65000/- + TA
Minimum Educational qualifications/ skills/ experience required for eligibility: Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree (MS Pharm/ M Pharm) in Pharmacology and Toxicology with good academic record.
10 years post Ph.D experience in Teaching / Industrial/ Research experience out of which at least S years should be at the level of Associate Professor at P.G level in Academic / Research Institutes for Professor.
5 years post Ph.D experience in Teaching / Industrial/ Research experience out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at P.G level in Academic / Research Institutes for Associate professor.
Strong background in molecular and cellular approach in testing new chemical entities in different therapeutic areas. Development of new vitro and animal models exposure to regulatory toxicology/histopathology and experience in interpretation of data from laboratory animal studies and experience in electrophysiology & clam techniques is desirable.

MS (PHARM) REGULATORY TOXICOLOGY

Minimum Educational qualifications/ skills/ experience required for eligibility: Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree (MS Pharm/ M Pharm) in Regulatory Toxicology/ Pharmacology and Toxicology with good academic record.
1 year post Ph.D experience at the level of Lecturer / Assistant Professor at PG level / Industrial/research/post doc experience.
Strong background in the area of regulatory toxicology, experimental pharmacological techniques and histopathology and immunohistochemistry, in vivo and in vitro techniques for assessment of toxicity. Publications in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor are desirable.

Minimum Educational qualifications/ skills/ experience required for eligibility: 1 class MS Pharm/ M Pharm in Regulatory toxicology/ Pharmacology and Toxicology with a good academic record.
3 years experience at the level of lecturer at PG level/Industrial/research experience. Good academic record and experience in research/ industrial research (at PG level) with strong background in the area of Regulatory Toxicology, Experimental Pharmacological Techniques including Histopathology and Immunohistochemistry, in vivo and in vitro techniques for assessment of toxicity. Publications in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor are desirable.

M. Tech (PHARM) PROCESS CHEMISTRY

Minimum Educational qualifications/ skills/ experience required for eligibility: Ph.D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree (MS Pharm/ M.Pharm/M.Sc/M.Tech) in Process Chemistry/ chemical Engineering/Bioprocess chemistry/ Biochemical Engineering.
5 years post Ph.D experience in Teaching / Industrial/ Research experience out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor at P.G level in Academic / Research Institutes for Associate professor.
1 year post Ph.D Research/ Teaching/ Industrial R&D experience in the relevant area for Assistant Professor.
Strong background in teaching and carry out the research work in the field of bioprocess technology, such as industrial important microbial metabolites (e.g., Baker's yeast, ethanol, polysaccharides nucleosides, etc.,); enzyme technology; immobilized enzyme engineering. Also ability to teach and work in the area of Biochemical engineering like kinetics of microbial growth, agitation and aeration, sterilization and control of bioprocess scale-up techniques. Drugs and pharmaceutical industry, synthetic bulk drug technology and experience in handling pilot plant studies.

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. Director, CSIR-IICT (Mentor Institute for NIPER, Hyderabad) reserves the right to relax any of the criteria for selection, in case candidate is meritorious and experienced.
2. Preference will be given to those who are working as lecturers/Assistant Professors/ Associate Professors in P.G. Colleges.
3. In case suitable candidates are not available for the positions, the positions will be filled in lower positions i.e. associate Professor / lecturer with appropriate emoluments.
4. Age is relaxable in respect of SC/ST/OBC as per rules and regulations and in case of exceptionally meritorious and retired professors from Universities/Govt P.G. Colleges (upto 65 years)
5. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate for being called for interview, the Institute reserves the right to place reasonable limits on the total number of candidates to be called for interview.
6. Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised post(s) at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill (either in the same position or downgraded position) or not to fill any post(s) and its decision in this regard shall be final
