one post of SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW under ICMR funded project entitled “National Network for genotyping of human lymphatic filarial parasite Wucherria gancrotti from different endemic areas”.  The selected candidates will be appointed for a period of one year only.

Post: SRF

Educational Qualification: Post Graduate qualification (1st Division) in any field of Life Sciences such as Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology at UG or PG degree level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Experience: 2 years research/teaching in molecular biology techniques such as PCR amplification, gene sequencing, polymorphism of genes and bioinformatics.

Job description: To carryout Filarial parasite gene amplification by PCR, Cloning and Sequencing and gene polymorphism studies.

Fellowship amount: Rs.18,000/- p.m. (Consolidated) + HRA Admissible as per ICMR guidelines.

Age limit: Below 35 years (as on the date of walk-in-interview) and relaxable for SC/ST and OBC candidates, as per the Govt. of India rules in force.

Candidates who possess qualification mentioned above may attend the WALK IN-INTERVIEW on 9th January 2012 (Monday) at 9.00 AM with all the original certificates, including caste status and recent passport size photograph

Duly filled in application along with the copies of certificates should be submitted at the time of interview.  Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or bringing political or other outside influence with regard to selection shall be a disqualification and such candidates will not be entertained. 
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
