Indian Immunologicals Ltd. invites applications for Manager – Manufacturing (Animal Health)

Indian Immunologicals Ltd. (IIL) in 1982 with the objective of making Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccine available to farmers at an affordable price. The technology for FMD vaccine manufacture was obtained from M/s. Wellcome Foundation Limited, United Kingdom. The plant in Hyderabad today has a capacity to make 80 million trivalent doses of FMD vaccine. Following the successful introduction of Foot &Mouth Disease Vaccine-Raksha, IIL launched the tissue culture vaccine "Raksharab" in 1989

Job Description:
Incumbent will be the overall in charge of bioprocess for the manufacture of vaccines in large scale fermentors. He will be involved in planning and coordinating with concerned departments to meet the market requirements on schedule and complying with regulatory practices. He will ensure compliance with quality systems and Organizational norms. He will also initiate developmental activities for process streamlining and improvement.

Candidate Profile:
which he should been involved in production of Vaccines / Biotherapeutics / Biosimilars in large scale with exposure to both upstream and downstream processing running on auto mode. He should have been responsible for output in terms of quantity and quality and should have led a team of professionals in a reputed firm and reporting to Senior Management. Exposure to regulatory is a must. Basic knowledge in instrumentation for effective coordination with engineering will be an added advantage.
