Opportunity to work as Pharmacist in Assam Rifles - 23 posts

Assam Rifles recruitment rally  will be held at Kohima(Nagaland), NRS-Dimapur and Shillong(Meghalaya), {NRS-Guwahati} from24 Jun 2013 onwards for enrolment to 431 vacancies (male candidates) from following States for the posts mentioned against each :-

POST: PHARMACIST - Total 23 posts

(a) RECRUITMENT RALLY AT  KOHIMA (NAGALAND).  The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the States for the posts specified against each:-

Post: Pharmacist (total-13 posts)

(b) RECRUITMENT RALLY  AT SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA).  The rally will be conducted for enrolment of candidates belonging to the states for the posts specified against each:-

Post: Pharmacist (total-10 posts)

2.    This notice is also available on the official website of the Assam Rifles assamrifles.gov.in.
3.    Candidate seeking reservation benefits as SC/ST/OBC must ensure that they are entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed in the Notice.  They should be in possession of the certificates in the format prescribed by Government of India in support of their claim at the time of reporting for PST/PET.
4.    CANDIDATE BELONGING TO THE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CATEGORY ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAMINATION.
5.    Only a single application will be entertained.  Candidature in respect of multiple applications will be rejected outright without any notice to such candidates.
6.    “APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL TRADES RALLY AT KOHIMA” or “APPLICATION FOR TECHNICAL TRADES RALLY AT SHILLONG” be endorsed on top of the cover under which the application is being submitted.
7.    Applications will be accepted only by post.
 8.    MOBILES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC GADGETS ARE BANNED WITHIN THE PREMISES OF RALLY SITES/TEST CENTRE.

9. Qualification:
Matric or equivalent from recognised board or equivalent. Diploma in pharmacy of 2 years  from a recognised University or institution.

10. Age .  Between 18 to 23 years as on 1^st Aug 2012.  Upper age limit is relaxable  by 3 years to OBC and 5 years to SC/ST Candidates.

11. Calculation of Upper Age Limit for Ex-servicemen.  Actual age minus service plus 3 years should be within the upper age limit of 23/26 and 28 years.

12. Physical Standard
(a) Height.  Minimum height of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura,  Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J & K will be 165 cms.  The minimum height for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be 162.5 cms.  The minimum height candidates hailing from North-Eastern States of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Left Wing Extremism affected Districts will be 160cms for males.
(b) Chest.  The Minimum chest of candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will  be 78 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).  The minimum chest for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be  76 cms (minimum 5 cms expansion).  The minimum chest of candidates hailing from North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and GorkhaTerritorial Administration (GTA) will be 77cms unexpanded (with minimum 5cms expansion.
(c) Others.  170 cms (Height), 80-85 cms (Chest) & Weight according to heightand age.

13 Physical Efficiency Test.
(a)  5 Km run -  Candidates to qualify within 24 Minutes.
(b) 11 ft long jump - Candidates to qualify in maximum 3 chances.
(c) 3 ½ ft high jump       
(d) NO PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST WILL BE HELD FOR EX-SERVICEMEN.  HOWEVER, EX-SERVICEMEN WILL BE REQUIRED TO PASS THE REQUISITE MED EXAMINATION.

14 Written Test.  The written test will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a pen. The question paper will be of 100 marks.

15 Pay Scale.  Pay scale and other allowance will be as admissible to Assam Rifles Personnel.

16 Merit List and Call  for Training.  The candidates who qualify in all respects will be placed in merit list depending upon the category wise vacancies allocated to states.   Instruction to join the Training Centre for enrolment will be issued on the basis of Merit List.

17 How to Apply.  Candidates shall submit their applications from the date 15 Apr 2013 to 14 May 2013 as per the attached format to the address mentioned below.  Fee.   Rupees  fifty only (Rs 50/-)  payable through SBI Challan through Power Jyoti  Account  No,  32611562834 at SBI, Laitkor Branch, Shillong, Code No – 13883. Fee paid by SBI Challan will be submitted alongwith the application.  Fee paid by modes other than SBI challan will not be accepted and the application of such candidates will be rejected forthright and the payment made shall stand forfeited.  Fee is exempted for candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Ex- Servicemen eligible will be accepted.

18. Copy of Challan recruitment fee is attached.

19. CLOSING  DATE  14 MAY 2013. Application received thereafter 14 May 2013 will not be entertained.
