Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants of different level/ Research Associate (Projects)/ Junior Research Fellow/Senior Research Associate/Senior Research Fellow on contract basis in the Projects under CSIR Network Scheme, Grant-in-aid Projects and other projects sponsored by Govt. Agencies tenable at CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow in various disciplines detailed as under:

1. Project Assistant Level-ll
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Organic chemistry / Pharmaceutical chemistry/ Analytical chemistry
DesirableQualification: Experience in Natural products chemistry

2. Project Assistant Level-ll
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in Agriculture.
Desirable Qualification: The candidates should have the computer knowledge, data base development, data analysisetc.

3. Project Assistant Level-l
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First class B. Sc. in Chemistry/ Botany

4. Project Assistant Level-l
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First Class B.Sc.in Agriculture.

5. Project Assistant Level-l
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First Class B.Sc.in Agriculture.
DesirableQualification: The candidates shouldknow the basic agriculture, crop demonstration and data collection. The candidates should be ready to visit Gorakhpur/ Mahoba district. Resident of Purvanchal and Bundelkhand regions will be given preferences.

6. Project Assistant Level-II
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First Class M.Sc. / M.Tech in in Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacology/ Molecular Biology/ Genomics/ Bioinformatics/ Genetics/ Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences/ Agriculture Botany/ Microbiology/ Environmental Science.
Desirable Qualification: Experience in plant based drug discovery and cancer research assays will be given preference/Experience in handling animal models/animal cell culture

7. Project Assistant Level-III
Age Limit: 32 Years
Qualification: Frist class M.Sc/M.Tech with two years relevant experience in Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Microbiology
Desirable Qualification: Work experience on Plant molecular biology and Transgenic plants, specifically cloning of genes, determining the function and transgenics.

8. Project Assistant Level-II
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First class M.Sc. in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Agriculture / Plant sciences/ Life Sciences.
Desirable Qualificaton: He/She should know the local language of Bundelkhand and resident of region. SC/ST candidate may be given preferences since project is related to tribes of district Lalitpur, UP.

9. Research Associate( Project)
Age Limit: 35Years
Qualification: Ph.D in Life sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany (Ph.Dawarded as on date of interview)
Desirable: Work experience on Plant molecular biology and Transgenic plants, specifically cloning of genes, determining the function and transgenics/Relevant experience of in silico and wet lab work.

10. Senior Research Assistant (Project)
Age Limit: 30 Years
Qualification: First Class M.Sc./ M.Techin Life Sciences Biochemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ Biotechnology/ Pharm acology/ Microbiology
Desirable Qualification: Candidates with 2-3 Years of Research Experience in plant based drug discovery and /or cancer research will be given preference.
Age: 30 Years as on 01.04.2013. However, in exceptional cases age limit may be relaxed marginally at the discretion of CST UP.

11. Senior Research Assistant (Project)
Age Limit: 32 Years
Qualification: First Class M.Sc. With two years' experience as JRF (LS/Project) in Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany
Desirable Qualification: Work experience on Plant molecular biology and Transgenic plants, specifically cloning of genes, determining the function and transgenics.
Date and Time: 1^st May 2013 9.00-10.30 AM
Stipend per month: 14,000/- pm (Fixed)

12. Junior Research Assistant (Project)
Age Limit: 28 Years
Qualification: First Class M.Sc with NET/GATE Qualified (CSIR/UGC/Lectureship) will be treated as JRF Project in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Genomics/Bioinformatics/Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Life Sciences/Agriculture Botany.
Desirable Qualification: One year research experience in R&D laboratory post Master's Degree With published paper(s) in journal of repute.
Date and Time: 1^st May 2013 9.00-10.30 AM
Stipend per month: 14,000/- pm (Fixed)

Desirable Qualification: Practical experience in the relevant field (as above) as evident by publications/thesis/dissertation.

Terms & Conditions:

For Project Assistants Level-ll/lll, & JRF/SRF/RA(projects) the upper age limit as mentioned for all the above positions will be as on Date of Interview which is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with disabilities and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Special age relaxation in case of widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands, who are not remarried as per rules.
The positions will be co-terminus with the Network, Grant-in aid projects and other projects against which the stipend is offered to the candidates and are non-transferable to another Project.
Incase of Research Associates (Projects), SRF (Project), and JRF (Projects),the upper age limit as mentioned above will be as on Date of Interview which is relaxableupto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with disabilities/ Women/ OBC.
If the number of candidates is large, a written test may be conducted to shortlist the candidates for interview.

Interested candidates may appear before the committee on the date and time mentioned as above for the respective area/Project in the Auditorium of the Institute for interview alongwith their signed Bio-Data on prescribed proforma alongwith original and attested copies of marksheets/certificates and a recent passport size photograph. No TA will be admissible.
