National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) was conceptualized by Government of India on persistent demand of the food industry to have an apex body as a "One Stop Solution Provider" for the various problems of the sector. Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India has set up this institute with an initial investment of Rs. 500 crore (US USD 100 million). The institute is spread over an area of 100 acres.

Emoluments per Month : INR 70900/- Consolidated

Essential Qualifications : 1. PhD in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Animal Biochemistry, Animal Biotechnology, Food Science & Technology, Pharmacology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, OR Allied disciplines.
2. NET / GATE qualified candidates with a prior publication record in relevant areas may be given preference

Age Limit : Maximum 35 years (relaxation of 5 years for women/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ differently abled as per the Govt. of India Rules)..

Desirable
1. Candidates having research experience in Proteins, bioactive peptides, protein hydrolysis, Bioinformatics will be preferred.
2. Candidates with a strong expertise in laboratory animal experimentation, analysis of advanced in vivo/ex vivo studies will be given preference.
3. Experience in Proteomics, in-silico analysis, molecular docking is desirable.
4. Expertise in molecular biology and cell biology techniques including qRT- PCR, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, ELISA, is required.
5. Strong expertise in cell culture work is also desirable
