Technical positions for Biotechnology, Microbiology candidates at NIPER

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, S.A.S. Nagar (NIPER S.A.S. Nagar), also known as NIPER Mohali, is the Topmost Pharmaceutical research institute in India & the main campus of the group of seven NIPER institutes, under India's Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The institute offers Masters and Doctoral degrees in pharmaceutical sciences. As an Institute of National Importance it plays an important role in the Human Resource Development for the ever-growing Indian Pharmaceutical industry, which has been at the forefront of India's science based industries with wide-ranging capabilities in this important field of drug manufacture.

Post : Project Technical Support-III (01 post)

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the following temporary position under the project entitled “Celiac Disease Care Optimization and gluten-Restriction Execution (Ced-CORE)” (GP-485), sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), under the supervision of Prof. Tarun Kumar Sharma, Department of Medical Devices, NIPER-SAS Nagar. The position is purely temporary and will initially be for a period of one (01) year or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier and shall be co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Age Limit : 35 years
Remunerations : Rs. 28,000/- p.m. + HRA, as admissible
Essential Qualification : Post Graduate (PG) degree such as M. Sc. (Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Medical Biotechnology) or M. Tech. (Biotechnology)
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having experience of protein biochemistry, molecular biology and diagnostics

• The engagement is purely temporary and will initially be for a period of one (01) year or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier and shall be co-terminus with the duration of the project.
• The engagement will not establish any right/claim for regularization/absorption against any vacant post in the Institute.
• The candidate(s) who fulfil the eligibility criteria may appear for a walk-in-interview along with the application form to be held on 21.09.2026 (Monday) from 04:00 pm onwards in the Office of Prof. Tarun Sharma, Deptt. of Medical Devices, NIPER-SAS Nagar – 160062 (Punjab). The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before coming for Walk-in- Interview, as ineligible candidates would not be interviewed

• The selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in interview.
• The candidate(s) attending the interview must fulfil the prescribed eligibility criteria and shall bring a duly filled-in application form, along with self-attested copies of testimonials/degrees/certificates in support of the qualifications, experience, etc. claimed in the application, as well as the Demand Draft for the requisite application fee, wherever applicable, as mentioned at below.
• The candidature will be considered as invalid, ab-initio, in case he/she does not fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidate should satisfy himself/herself regarding the possession of required qualification, age, experience, etc., as stipulated above, before appearing in interview.
• Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures i.e. self- attested copies of degree/certificates/marks sheets/experience certificate/reprint of important publications (if any), without photographs, signatures, and prescribed fee will not be allowed to appear in Walk-in-Interview.
• Candidates shall have to produce original documents/testimonials at the time of the interview, failing which, such candidates shall not be allowed for interview. The original certificates/degrees etc. of the candidate(s) are subject to verification before joining, in case of selection.

The application fee as detailed below is required to be submitted at the time of the interview in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director, NIPER-SAS Nagar’ payable at SAS Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh:
i. Application fee for General and OBC category candidates: Rs. 500/-
ii. Application fee for SC/ST/PWD/female candidates: NIL
• Application fees in other forms will not be accepted.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD etc. will be as per the Government of India rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
• The Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised position at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill position and its decision in this regard shall be final.
