Shri Govind Guru University, Vinzol-388713, invites online applications for the post of Assistant Professor to be filled up in accordance with the Govt, of Gujarat's Education Department and the various provisions under "The Gujarat Public Universities Act-2023" and "The Gujarat Public Universities Uniform Statutes, 2024" and UGC Notification,2018 dtd,18th July, 2018.

Eligibility (A or B)
A.I. Essential :
1. A basic degree in pharmacy (B.Pharm.)
2. Registration as a pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948, as amended from time to time, including any succeeding enactments.
3. First Class Master’s Degree in appropriate branch of specialization in Pharmacy.
4. PhD degree in Pharmacy
II. Desirable :
2. Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed
organization; and
2. Papers presented at Conferences and / or in refereed journals.
OR
B. The Ph. D degree in concerned / relevant / allied subject obtained from a foreign university / institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) or (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Note : The Academic score as specified in Appendix II (Table 3A) for university, and Appendix II (Table 3B) for colleges, shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview. General Instructions
1. Online application form can be filled using the portal: https://www.sggu.ac.in/recruitement.php The number of posts, essential qualifications, experiences, general terms and conditions etc. can be downloaded from the University website https://sggu.ac.in.
2. After Submitting the online application, the applicant must take a printout (Hard COPYI of the online submitted application form. Self-attested copies of certificates proving the prescribed qualifications, experience, publication and all other claims made by the applicant must be attached with hard copy of application in a proper sequence with numbering and send it to “THE ESTABLISHMENT OFFICER(OSD), SHREE GOVIND GURU UNIVERSITY, VINZOL " on or before 25/09/2026 up to 5:00 p.m.
3. Non submission of online applications shall be liable for rejection.
- Without online application submission mere submission of hard copy also stands for rejection.
- Only online application without sending Hard Copy will not be considered.
- Incomplete application or application on plain paper will not be considered.
In support of experience the applicant must attach below self-attested documents in hard copies,

- Pay slip of last drawn salary in each of the positions for the claim of the experience
- University letter showing the approval of each of the appointments claimed
- Experience certificate indicating designations and pay scale (Experience of appointments made as per UGC regulations)

4. The regulations/norms and other service conditions prescribed in the present advertisement are as per the Notification "UGC REGULATIONS ON MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF TEACHERS AND OTHER ACADEMIC STAFF IN UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES AND MEASURES FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF STANDARDS IN HIGHER EDUCATION ,2018 (18th July, 2018)" and subsequent amendments from time to time.
5. The prescribed educational qualifications, non-creamy layer certificate, and other requisite qualifications will be considered as of the last date prescribed for submitting the online application.
6. Applicant must submit the hard copy of application either by Registered post / Speed Post / in person with all enclosures as per the specimen shown in Sr. No. 4. Hard copy of application received after last date and time will not be considered.
7. Applicants are advised to submit the applications to the University well in advance without waiting for the last date to avoid postal delay or any delay due to other unforeseen events or circumstances. The University shall not be responsible for any postal delay or any delay at any stage.
8. The candidate having necessary medical certificate of disability of 40% and above shall be considered as physically disabled candidate. Persons with Disability (PwD) are required to submit the relevant Disability Certificate issued by the competent authority as per the norms of the Government of Gujarat
9. Reservation for Persons with Disabilities will be as per the existing norms of Government of Gujarat, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment and its amendments from time to time till the last date of receiving application.

12. Candidates already in service must submit a 'No Objection Certificate (NOC)' from their present employer and send/submit his /her application (hard copy) duly forwarded through proper channel. In case the applicants are in service and delay is expected in getting endorsement of the employer concerned on the original application, the applicants may submit an advance copy of the application along with all enclosures directly (with or without the employer's endorsement on the advance copy). If the original application through proper channel has not been received by the University by the last date mentioned in this employment notification, the applicants will have to submit a 'NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE' from his/her employer to the University at the time of personal interview.
13. Candidates applying for any post in this advertisement needs to follow the guidelines prescribed by UGC vide Notification dated 18th July 2018 and subsequent amendments from time to time till the last date prescribed for submitting the online application.
14. The candidates must fulfil all eligibility conditions as of the last date prescribed for submitting the online application.
15. The reservations/relaxations policy for SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PwBD Candidates will be provided as per the existing Govt, of Gujarat rule, and subsequent amendments from time to time till the last date prescribed for submitting the online application.
16. S.E.B.C. candidate should furnish the "Non-Creamy-layer certificate" valid for the current financial year of their parents in the prescribed Performa along with his/her application form.
17. Candidate belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/EWS/PwBD category should submit prescribed certificate as per the Proforma of State Government and Norms, failing which the candidate will not be entitled to get the benefit of reserved category.
18. Applicant should also submit a self-attested photocopy of any Government issued proof of identity.
19. If a Candidate holds foreign University degree, he/she shall produce an equivalence certificate issued by AIU (Association of Indian University) at the time of application.
20. A candidate who provides incorrect or false information or suppresses information will be disqualified and, if appointed, will be liable to be dismissed.

21. Candidate applying for more than one post, a separate online applications and hard copy for each of the posts with enclosures is necessary with requisite fees.
22. The processing fee will not be refunded in any circumstances.
23. Any change in address mentioned in the application form should be communicated to The Registrar, Shri Govind Guru University without fail.
24. Candidates are advised to read the advertisement carefully and satisfy themselves that they possess the prescribed qualifications before applying. No inquiry, asking for advice as to eligibility will be entertained.
25. Candidates called for interview shall have to appear for interview at their own cost. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending Personal interviews.
26. Pay Protection, other entitlements, and service conditions will be as per the rules and regulations laid down by the Government of Gujarat from time to time and concerned statutory bodies and their subsequent amendments from time to time.
27. Direct or indirect canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification.
28. Any changes/amendments/updation/Notice in this regard shall be posted on university website only. Candidates are advised to check the university website regularly.
29. The appointment of the candidate shall be subject to the conditions of service rules for the University employees and may be amended from time to time.
30. In case of any dispute, any suite or legal proceeding against the university, the territorial jurisdiction shall be Godhara only.

31. The University will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail or loss of any communication due to wrong information provided by the candidates.
32. Call letters and other correspondence for attending the interview, etc., will be sent to the eligible candidates by email only and will be displayed on university website.
33. Mere eligibility will not entitle any candidate to be called for Interview. The eligibility shall be ascertained strictly on the basis of all the essential eligibility criteria as mentioned for direct recruitment for the post of Assistant Professor in the UGC Regulation ,2018.
34. The University reserves the right to restrict the candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed as decided by duly constituted Screening Committee(s) and approved by the competent authority. Call letters for attending interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates by Speed Post/RPAD/E-mail.
35. Any correspondence with applicants, who are not short-listed for interview, will not be entertained.
36. Any additional qualifications, experience, number of papers published, honours and other achievements gained by the candidate during the period between the last date of online submission of an application and the date of conducting the interview shall not be taken into consideration.
37. To arrive at appropriate Research Score, the evidences towards the claims must be provided as enclosures with application in the same order of the claim made.
(a). Photocopy of research paper from which nature of journal (National/ International etc)can be decided.
(b). Appropriate evidence of impact factor of the journal during the period of publication of your paper/article.
(c). Certificate of Conference/Workshop/Semina r/Course/Program mentioning clearly paper presentation/ invited talk and its nature (National, International etc)
(d). Photocopy of first few pages of Conference proceedings / book/ chapters in book showing clearly ISBN/ Authors/ Publishers/ Year of Publication, place of conference nature (Intemational/National/State/University) of conference and other essential data.
(e). Photocopy of sanctioned letter of project showing funding/ sponsoring/ sanctioning agency, amount, period, duration, completion, year wise bifurcation of amount (if any), Principal Investigators (PI), co-investigator and completion report in case of completed project.
38. Fake/Derecognized Institutions: Candidates, who have obtained degrees or diplomas or certificates for various courses from any Institution declared fake/derecognized by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi shall not be eligible for being considered for recruitment to the posts advertised.
39. The University shall process the applications entirely on the basis of information/documents sent / attached with the hard copy of the application. In case the information/documents are found to be false / incorrect by way of omission or commission, the responsibility shall lie solelv with the applicant and the applicant shall be liable for action as per law.
40. Any consequential vacancies arising at the time of Interview may also be filled up from the available screened candidates.

41. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection, which may be detected at any stage even after the issuance of offer letter, the University reserves right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the applicants.
42. The University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the applicant. In case of any dispute arising out of such a situation, the decision of the university shall be final and binding on the applicant.
43. If the aspiring candidate claiming experience of working in any institutions / organizations will have to submit documentary proofs of Pay Level, salary in the form of Appointment Letter (with salary mentioned in it), University Approval (if applicable), Salary Slips, Salary Bank Account Statements with all entries and IT Returns corresponding to it whenever asked.
44. Shri Govind Guru University, Vinzol reserves the right:
i. To withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without giving any reason.
ii. To increase/decrease the number of Teaching positions after the due procedure as per directions of UGC, New Delhi/ Gujarat Government from time to time.
iii. To change the number and nature of posts/vacancies, to fill or to postpone, the decision to fill or not to fill without assigning any reason.
iv. In case of any Dispute/Ambiguity that may occur in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of application, mode of selection, personal interview the decision of the Vice- Chancellor /Board of Management, Shri Govind Guru University, Vinzol shall be final and no query or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/her side.
