Applications are invited for the post of Research associate (No. of Positions: 01) to work in the Department of Biotechnology (GOI) funded research project entitled “Climate resilience by employing rare microbial metabolites and bioactive peptides of microbial and plant origin”. This project is in collaboration with BRIC- National Institute of Plant Genome Research, and CSIR- Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants.
Post : Research Associate (No. of Positions : 01)
These positions will be based at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with project.
Principal Investigator : Prof. Sudhir Pratap Singh
Project title : Climate resilience by employing rare microbial metabolites and bioactive peptides of microbial and plant origin
Minimum Qualifications : Ph.D. in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university, and at least one first author research paper published in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports (JCR) of impact factor 3 or higher.
Desirable experience/ knowledge : Recombinant protein production, Protein purification, Enzyme kinetics, Microbial culture, Fermentation, etc.
Age Limit : Up to 35 years on closing date of advertisement.
Fellowship Duration : The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, extendable for another year subject to satisfactory performance and progress. The tenure of the appointment shall be co-terminus with the duration of the project.
Emolument : Rs. 58000/- + 9% HRA
