Applications are invited for the following one position in ICMR supported research project"Molecular pathology of cervical carcinogenesis: Role of telomere in predisposition of cervical cancer and modulation of telomere function in cervical cancer cells” (P-14/0807)
Post : Project Research Scientist-1 (Non-Medical)
Salary : Rs 56,000 + 11,200 (20% HRA) = Rs. 67,200/month
Essential Qualification : First-class Master’s degree, including the integrated Master's degrees in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular & Human Genetics / Zoology / Animal Science / Life Sciences OR Second-class post-graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with Ph.D. in the above-mentioned subjects from a recognized University. For engineering/IT/CS: First class 4-year graduation degree + 3 years of research experience in the field of Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Molecular & Human Genetics / Zoology / Animal Science / Life Sciences. Candidate should also have qualified NET / GATE or equivalent examination.
Desirable Qualifications : Candidates having experience with handling of human cell culture, telomere function assays, telomere length analysis, confocal microscopy, q-FISH and basic molecular techniques would be preferred.
Age Limit : The Upper age limit is 35 (thirty-five) years. Age limit is relaxable for 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped/Female Candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Note : The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the project will be maximum for one year.
