Eligibility Criteria
Academic Qualification
• Ph.D. awarded within the last 3 years in a relevant discipline from a recognized statutory university.
• Candidates who have successfully defended their doctoral viva-voce may also apply.

Research Track Record
• Minimum of two original research papers published or accepted in indexed journals such as Scopus, Web of Science, SCI, or ABDC.

Research Dossier
• A comprehensive 1,500-word research proposal aligned with the university's academic faculties, labs, and regional priorities.

Terms of Engagement & Remuneration
Designation : Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF)
Tenure : Initial appointment of 1 year, extendable up to 2 additional years, subject to annual research evaluation, milestone delivery, and quality publications.
Remuneration : Consolidated monthly research fellowship grant plus annual contingency support as per university research norms.
Sponsored Fellows : Researchers holding independent national fellowships (e.g., CSIR-JRF, CSIR-PDF, or SERB) are invited to apply for institutional mentorship and laboratory attachment.

Core Responsibilities
• Conduct independent, cutting-edge research under an assigned faculty mentor.
• Author and publish peer-reviewed papers in high-impact Scopus/WoS-indexed journals affiliated with MGU Meghalaya.
• Develop and submit joint research grant proposals to national and international funding bodies, including DST, ICMR, UGC, and corporate sponsors.
• Contribute limited hours toward doctoral mentoring and advanced departmental teaching.
