Post-Doctoral Fellowship at NIPER - Pharmcoinformatics, Bioinformatics, Medicinal Chemistry Apply

Applications are invited for Walk-in-Interview from eligible Indian nationals for the following temporary position under the project entitled “The fight against HIV/AIDS: Comprehensive in silico strategies for discovery of novel allosteric PROTACs (Proteolysis Targeting Chimeras) against HIV-1 integrase” (GP-502) funded by Mary Heersink Institute for Global Health (MHIGH), University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Atlanta, USA under the supervision of Dr . M . Elizabeth Sobhia (PI) , Professor, Department of Pharmacoinformatics, NIPER-SAS Nagar. This position is purely on temporary basis for a period of 01 year.

Age Limit : 35 years (As on the date of Walk-in-Interview)
Remunerations : Consolidated USD 750 per month (Will be paid in INR as per exchange rate at the time of payment) No HRA will be paid

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in one of the disciplines : Pharmcoinformatics / Bioinformatics / Cheminformatics / Medicinal Chemistry / Biophysics / Computational Biology / Protein crystallography / Structural biology. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis in the above subjects will also be eligible to apply (along with proof of submission).

Desirable Qualification : Expertise in computational PROTAC design, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and advanced CADD technique is essential along with hands on experience in using MD software and analyzing simulation results. Experience in applying AI/ML/DL to drug discovery work flow is expected. Prior peer- reviewed publications in relevant fields are desirable.

• The engagement is full time and purely on temporary basis for all intent and purposes for a period of 01 year.
• The engagement will not establish any right/claim for regularization/absorption against any vacant post in the Institute.

• The candidate(s) who fulfil the eligibility criteria may appear for a walk-in-interview along with the application form to be held on 07.10.2026 (Wednesday) from 03:00 pm onwards at Conference Room, Secretariat Building, NIPER-SAS Nagar – 160062 (Punjab). The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of the registration from 2:30 pm to 3:00 p.m. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before coming for Walk-in- Interview, as ineligible candidates would not be interviewed.

• The selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in interview.
• The candidate(s) attending the interview must fulfil the eligibility criteria and should bring attested copies of testimonials / degrees / certificates in support of the averments made in the qualification & experience etc. along with Demand Draft of requisite application fee, if applicable, as mentioned
• The candidature will be considered as invalid, ab-initio, in case he/she does not fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidate should satisfy himself/herself regarding the possession of required qualification, age, experience, etc., as stipulated above, before appearing in interview.
• Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures i.e. self-attested copies of degree/certificates/marks sheets/experience certificate/reprint of important publications (if any), without photographs, signatures, and prescribed fee will not be allowed to appear in Walk- in-Interview.
• Candidates shall have to produce original documents/testimonials at the time of the interview, failing which, such candidates shall not be allowed for interview. The original certificates/degrees etc. of the candidate(s) are subject to verification before joining, in case of selection.

• The application fee as detailed below is required to be submitted at the time of the interview in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director, NIPER-SAS Nagar’ payable at SAS Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh :

• Application fees in other forms will not be accepted.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PwBD etc. will be as per the Government of India rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
• The Institute reserves the right to withdraw advertised position at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill position and its decision in this regard shall be final.
