Applications are invited for engagement of Project Staff under the ANRF funded project entitled “Investigating the therapeutic relevance of IVIG for mitigating compromised immunity in offspring following stroke in pregnancy” in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, NIPER-Ahmedabad. The position is available initially for a period of 1 year(s) and may be extended further for 2 year(s) based on the candidate’s satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.

Project Title : Investigating the therapeutics relevance of IVIG for mitigating compromised immunity in offspring following stroke in pregnancy
Principle Investigator : Dr. Pallab Bhattacharya, Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.
Engagement Tenure : Initially for a period of 01 year/availability of fund. Renewals for a maximum additional period of 02 years, subject to satisfactory performance each year (2 years as JRF followed by 1 year as SRF)

Salary : (i) 37,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are selected through(a) National Eligibility Tests - CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Essential Qualification : M.Sc./M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.S. or equivalent degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, Pharmacology or allied biomedical sciences, with 60% aggregate marks/ Average (CGPA) 6.5 on a 10-point scale for GEN, and marks will be relaxed by 5% or by a CGPA of 0.5 (on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST/PwD candidates from a UGC recognized University/ Institute/ Autonomous bodies Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on the last date of application (relaxation as per ANRF/Govt. of India norms for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates)

Desired Work Experience : Prior research experience in animal handling and experimentation, immunology, molecular biology, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and other related biomedical techniques will be preferred.

Other Terms & Conditions : The position is purely temporary in nature and co-terminus with the project.
