Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one Project Technical Support III position to work on the following project sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research ICMR under the supervision of Prof. Kavi Devraj, Department of Biological Sciences; Prof. K. V. G. Chandra Sekhar, Department of Chemistry; and Prof. Vamsi K. Venuganti, Department of Pharmacy, BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus.
Post : Project Technical Support III (1 position)
Title of the project : Development and Neurovascular Evaluation of Novel Small-Molecule S1PR4 Ligands for BBB Modulation in Disease and for Enhancing CNS Drug Delivery
Duration of the project : Three years
Fellowship amount : ₹28,000 per month + 30% HRA, if applicable
Eligibility criteria : B.Pharm. and M.Pharm., with the M.Pharm. degree in Pharmaceutics or Drug Delivery
Preferred applicant background
1. Experience in pharmaceutical formulation development and physicochemical or analytical characterization of formulations.
2. Research exposure to cerebral stroke, neurovascular disease, blood-brain barrier biology, CNS drug delivery or a related area.
3. Hands-on experience in laboratory animal handling and/or preclinical animal experimentation.
4. Basic experience in mammalian cell culture and routine cell-based assays.
5. Working knowledge of basic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or analytical methods relevant to small-molecule research.
6. Candidates with GPAT, CSIR-UGC NET, GATE or an equivalent national-level qualification will be preferred.
7. Demonstrated willingness to work across pharmaceutics, chemistry and neurovascular biology, and to learn new concepts, tools and techniques in an interdisciplinary project.
8. Good scientific writing, communication, organization and teamwork skills.
