National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala invites applications from eligible Indian Citizens possessing consistently good academic record and requisite qualifications and experience for recruitment to following Non Teaching Posts on Direct recruitment basis under the Pay Level of 7th CPC as indicated against each.

Age-limit for direct recruits : 27 years

Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits Essential:
(i) 10+2 in Science (PCB/PCM) subjects from recognized Board or University.
(ii) 2 Years Diploma with First class from an Institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India with minimum two years experience in any recognized hospital or pharmacy.
Or
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma.)
(iii) Registered as Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act 1948.

Period of probation, if any : 1 year for direct recruits as per NIT Statutes

Note : After 2 Years’ experience in the Grade Pay of Rs.2800/-, the incumbent will be granted Non Functional up-gradation to the next higher Grade Pay of Rs.4200/- in PB-2 and re-designated as Sr. Pharmacist (personal to the incumbent).

Sr. Pharmacist with GP of Rs.4200/- and 7 years of service, out of which at least 5 years of service in GP of Rs.4200/-, may be considered for promotion to the post of Pharmacist (SG II) with GP of Rs.4600/-.

General Instructions and Information
1. Essential/ Desirable Qualification, Age and Experience :
a. Essential qualification, desirable qualification, age and experience for the above posts are as per Recruitment Rules (2019) for Non-Teaching staff in NITs notified vide No.F.35- 5/2018-TS.IIl of MHRD’s letters dated 20.02.2019 and 04.04.2019. (Annexure A)
b. In MHRD notification No. F.35-5/2018-TS.Ill, dated 04.04.2019, the Educational and other qualification required for direct recruitment in some of the posts, is First Class Bachelor’s Degree/First Class Diploma.
c. In case First Class/ Division are not mentioned in degree/ Diploma Certificate/ Marks Sheet, then the candidate should have passed and secured at least 6.5 CGPA (on 10-Point scale) or 60% marks in aggregate. The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be awarded by a recognized University/Institute.
d. Only primary mode of evaluation (CGPA or percentage) as mentioned in the qualifying degree certificate/mark sheet shall be considered while verifying eligibility. In case both CGPA and percentage are mentioned, then only CGPA would be considered.
e. Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by an individual Institute/university will not be allowed.
f. If CGPA is on a different scale than the 10-point scale, then it would be linearly mapped to a 10-point scale for determination of eligibility.
2. Applicants should possess the prescribed qualification and experience for the respective post as on the last date of application. Selected candidates would be required to produce specific certificates in Original at the time of document verification as per eligibility conditions of NIT Agartala failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
3. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post in the prescribed manner, and separate application with fee must be deposited for each post. However, the candidates will do so at their own risk as the schedule of Examination for any two post codes may coincide. No relief of such accounts will be provided/ entertained.
4. Number of posts advertised may increase or decrease as per the requirement of the institute during the selection process. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill some or all the advertised positions or any position.
5. The decision of the Institute related to all matters pertaining to the recruitment shall be final and binding on the applicants.
6. Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Ex-servicemen/ departmental candidates as per Govt, of India norms. The lower age limit for all posts shall be 18 years. The upper age limit mentioned in the advertisement is with reference to the unreserved vacancies. Cumulative Age relaxation as applicable to relevant categories shall be extended. Departmental candidates serving in State/Central Government / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies / Universities / Government Educational Institutions on regular employment who have completed a minimum of 03 years continuous service shall be eligible for age relaxation of 05 years, subject to the production of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) issued by the Competent Authority of the organization/institution where they are serving at the time of Document Verification.
7. One time age relaxation up to the age of 56 years prescribed for a particular post in non teaching as per recruitment rules (RR-2019) shall be granted to the non teaching staff who are working on ad- hoc/temporary/contractual/outsource basis at NIT Agartala as per the decision of MHRD vide F.35-5/2018- TS.IU, dated 20th February, 2019 and BOG of NIT Agartala vide item no 17 of 47th BoG dated 26th June, 2019. Such candidates are required to submit/upload the supporting documents depicting their association with NIT Agartala failing which the relaxation will be rejected, no representation to that effect will be entertained under any circumstance thereafter for
availing age relaxation.
8. Regular staffs of NIT Agartala, who are otherwise eligible, shall be allowed to participate in the selection process irrespective of age and percentage of marks. This will be applicable to the regular staffs of NIT Agartala who were appointed before the date of implementation of RRs in NITs including Model RRs (2012).
9. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) applying against Unreserved (UR) vacancies shall not be entitled to any relaxation in age, qualifying marks, or any other concession admissible to their respective categories. Candidates who avail age relaxation to become eligible for the recruitment process shall be considered only against the reserved vacancies of the category to which they belong, even if they secure merit sufficient for consideration under the UR category.
10. No TA/DA will be paid for attending recruitment test/ document verification.

11. Persons serving in State/Central Govt. / Semi Govt. / PSUs / Universities / Govt. Educational Institutions must bring “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” from the Competent Authority of the organization/ institution they are serving at the time of Document Verification. Otherwise, they will not be allowed for Document Verification.
12. Any vigilance/criminal/disciplinary cases should not be pending against the candidates working in any Government organization/Autonomous body/Semi Govt./PSUs/ Universities/Govt. Educational Institutions. In such cases, the application shall not be considered or scrutinized.
13. Ex-Servicemen seeking age relaxation as admissible under the rules of the Government of India shall upload self-attested copy of valid Discharge / Service Certificate.
14. Original documents, along with one set of self-attested copies will have to be produced at the time of document verification. All related certificates, in original, proving the eligibility are mandatory to be produced during document verification. Without original certificates, the candidature shall be out rightly rejected at the time of document verification. No representation for any relaxation will be accepted/ entertained.
15. All details related to recruitment process shall be available on the Institute website only. Applicants are advised to keep a regular watch on the Institute’s website for any updates. No separate communication in any form shall be made in this respect.
16. Application form (containing fee payment details) & e-receipt should be printed by the candidate and kept for reference with him/her.
17. Candidates should ensure that their Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth should exactly match as recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate. In case any candidate has formally changed the name, then gazette notification or any other legal document, as applicable should be submitted at the time of Document Verification.
18. Only date of birth indicated in 10th/12th/Birth Certificate will be accepted. No subsequent request for change shall be entertained under any circumstances.
19. Candidates are advised to indicate their active mobile number and valid e-mail ID in the ONLINE application and keep them active during the entire recruitment process, as important messages will be sent by email and/ or on mobile, which will be deemed to have been read by the candidates. Candidates are required to carefully fill/provide all the detailed information regarding personal details/Bio-Data, fees, etc., through ONLINE application. The candidate is responsible to prove that all the information provided/submitted by him/her in the application is true.
20. No interim queries regarding Selection Process will be entertained at any stage.

21. In case of any inadvertent error in the selection process, which may be detected, at any stage, even after the issuance of the Offer Letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel whole or any part of selection process.
22. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the selection process, the decision of the Institute shall be final.
23. Applicants must be in sound health. If selected, they must be prepared to undergo such medical examination before the District Medical Board and produce the fitness certificate after the selection process.
24. All the appointments are subject to verification of academic qualifications, experience, conduct, community certificates, medical fitness followed by police verification of the selected applicants. During the period of Institute service, if the Institute, on its verification, finds any discrepancy in the claims made by the applicant, besides departmental proceedings, suitable legal action shall also be initiated as per Government of India Rules.
25. Decision of the Institute regarding conduct of examination, verification of documents and selection would be final and binding on all applicants. No representation/ correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
26. Action against applicants found guilty of misconduct:
Applicants are warned not to furnish any particulars that are false or suppress any material information while filling in the application form. Applicants are also warned that they should in no case attempt to alter or otherwise tamper with any entry in a document or the attested certified copy submitted by them nor should they submit a tampered/fabricated document. Without prejudice to criminal action, wherever necessary, candidature will be summarily cancelled / debarred at any stage of the recruitment in respect of applicants in case of any of the following:
a. Making wrong declarations and giving mis-interpretation of the facts in the application.
b. In possession of mobile phone & accessories and other electronic gadgets at the examination centres, whether in use or in switched off mode and on person or otherwise.
c. Involved in malpractices.
d. Using unfair means in the examination hall.
e. Obtaining support for his/her candidature by any means.
f. Impersonate/Procuring impersonation by any person.
g. Submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with.
h. Making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information.
i. Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the examination.
j. Misbehaving in any manner in the examination hall with the Supervisor, Invigilator or NIT, Agartala representatives.
k. Taking away the Answer Sheet with him/her from the examination hall, or passing it on to unauthorized persons during the conduct of the examination.
I. Intimidating or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by the NIT Agartala during the conduct of examination.
m. Being ineligible for the examination by not fulfilling the eligibility conditions mentioned in the notice.
n. Candidature can also be cancelled at any stage of the recruitment on any other ground which the Institute considers to be sufficient cause for cancellation of candidature.
27. Application forms, downloaded and submitted offline, would not be accepted. The applicant will be solely responsible for the authenticity of the submitted information.
28. The Institute reserves the right to fill up or not to fill some or all the advertised positions or any position, cancel the advertisement in whole or in part, without assigning any reason and its decision in this regard shall be final. The Institute reserves the right to extend the closing date for receipt of applications.
29. Applicants should not have been convicted by any Court of Law. The decision of NIT Agartala in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false information, mode of selection, conduct of examination(s), selection and allotment of the
department/ centre/ section to selected applicants will be final and binding on the applicants. No
enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
30. Legal disputes, if any, with National Institute of Technology Agartala are to be dealt in jurisdiction of Tripura High Court only.

31. Canvassing in any form OR on behalf of a candidate will be disqualified.
32. The Institute will retain data of online applications received for non-shortlisted applicants only for three months after completion of recruitment process.
33. Applicants would be allowed to appear in the selection process on the basis of the information furnished by them in their application form. Issuance of letter for the selection process will not confer any right for appointment. If the applicants are found ineligible at any stage of recruitment process, he/she will be disqualified, their candidature may be cancelled and if selected, appointment may be cancelled. Hiding information or submitting false information may lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of recruitment. In case any information given / declaration by the applicant is found to be false or if the applicant has wilfully suppressed any material information relevant to the appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the service and any penal action may be taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority
34. Selected candidates will be under Probation for a period of One Year and will be confirmed subject to satisfactory completion of the probation and other requirements as per rule. Upon final selection, the candidates will be governed by the rules and regulations in accordance to NIT Act and Statues.
35. In accordance with the DoPT Office Memorandum No. F. No. 39020/01/2013-Estt.(B)- Part dated 29 December 2015, no interview shall be conducted for any Group 'B' or Group 'C' post. The selection process for all advertised posts shall consist of a Computer Based Test (CBT).
The schedule, venue, and other relevant details of the CBT shall be notified separately on the Institute website. The final merit list shall be prepared solely on the basis of the marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT), subject to qualifying the prescribed skill test(s), wherever applicable.

36. Tie Breaking Principle:
a) In case two or more candidates score equal marks in the online test, weightage will be given to the candidate scoring more marks in Part A.
b) If there is tie even after this, merit list will be prepared based on the Date of Birth of the candidates as per the Matriculation Certificate - the candidate born earlier shall be placed before the candidate born later.
c) In cases where a tie persists even after applying the above Tie Breaking Principles, it will be resolved at the discretion of the Institute.
37. The applications must be submitted separately for each post with requisite fee of Rs. 1000/- for UR/OBCNCL/EWS candidates and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST Category Candidates (Non-refundable) in online mode, through the link available on the application. No application fee is required for PwD candidates applying under PWD category.
38. Candidates who are not exempted from Fee payment must ensure that their Fee has been deposited with NIT Agartala along with duly filled application. If the Fee is not received by NIT Agartala, application will be SUMMARILY REJECTED and no request for consideration of such Applications and Fee payment after the period specified in the Advertisement shall be entertained.
