The institute conducts innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health.

Assistant Data Manager (One post)
Project : Losartan for the prevention of disease progression in patients with rheumatic heart disease - A randomized placebo-controlled trial

Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : Post-Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university. OR Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with at least two (2) years of post-qualification work experience in the field of data entry/ MIS/ data analysis/ Computer Science/ operations.
Desirable : • Diploma/Certificate in Information Technology or Computer Science.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, data management, and database systems.
Job description / Skills required
• Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of study databases and electronic Case Report Forms (eCRFs). • Perform data entry and data review as per approved study procedures.
• Conduct routine data checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or potentially erroneous data.
• Assist in generating, reviewing, and resolving data queries.
• Support data cleaning activities throughout the study.
• Assist in reconciliation of clinical data with relevant external or source data, where applicable.
• Support database freeze and database lock activities.
• Maintain study-related data management documents and records.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of Data Management Plans, data review documents, query logs,database documentation, and other study-specific documents.
• Ensure that documentation is maintained in accordance with applicable SOPs and study requirements.
• Support user acceptance testing and testing of eCRFs, edit checks, and database functionality under supervision.
• Assist with data exports, listings, reconciliation, and routine data reports.
• Coordinate with study team members for resolution of data- related issues.
• Assist the Data Science team in other miscellaneous activities, as required.
Project Research Scientist-II (One post)
Project : BRAIN-TB: Bacterial Regulators that Aid TB infection in CNS-Targeted deletion and CRISPRi approaches

Monthly consolidated emoluments : Rs. 67,000/- plus HRA

Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : Ph.D. in Life Sciences in the area of infectious disease, preferably tuberculosis (TB) from a recognized university with at least one (1) research article in a peer-reviewed PubMed-indexed Journal.
Job description / Skills required
1. Molecular Biology Proficiency-
• Cloning, Expression and Purification of Proteins: Hands-on experience with regular PCRs, gene cloning expression and purification of recombinant proteins.
• Biochemical Assay: Experience with various biochemical assays such as enzyme kinetics, CD spectroscopy, protein-protein and protein-drug interaction etc.
• Gene Expression Analysis: Hands-on experience with RNA extraction, cDNA synthesis, and running Real-Time Quantitative Reverse Transcription PCR (RT- PCR).
2. Competency to work with mycobacteria in BSL-3 Facility:
• Experience in M. tuberculosis culturing: Hands-on experience with mycobacterial culturing, generation of recombinant strains, and maintenance of mycobacterial cultures in BSL3 containment facility.
• Animal infection with the TB pathogen: Hands-on experience with mouse or any other animal model of infection, specifically pertaining to TB in the BSL3 containment facility.
3. Immunological & Analytical Techniques
• Flow Cytometry: Practical expertise in operating Flow Cytometry (FACS) equipment, including sample preparation, staining, and data acquisition/analysis.
• ELISA: Experience in setting up and analysing Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISA) for cytokine or antibody profiling. • Cell Culture Systems: Competency in primary mammalian cell culture or cell line maintenance used for host- pathogen interaction studies.
Project Research Scientist-I (One post)
Project : Improving maternal and neonatal outcomes using imaging data science

Essential & Desirable qualifications & Experience : Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Bioinformatics or related field with specific courses in data science/ medical image analysis/ artificial intelligence (AI) with proficient skills in computer programming (Python/R). OR B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or Biotechnology or related discipline from the recognized University.
Job description / Skills required
Responsible for the development of AI models using medical images and videos. They will clean and pre-process the dataset, write the analytical programs, test-run them, and use multiple strategies as defined in the plan of analyses to develop models. The position will be posted at THSTI.

a) These are the short-term positions, and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbents and tenure of the project for which they are selected. Those appointed to these positions will not have any claim for regularization of their employment.
b) All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/University.
c) The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post. The candidates are required to satisfy themselves, before applying /appearing for the selection process, that they possess the minimum eligibility criteria as laid down in the recruitment advertisement. No query will be entertained with regard to eligibility criteria.
d) The date of Interview of the respective post will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, experience, essential qualification etc.
e) Age and other relaxations for direct recruits and departmental candidates: 1. By five years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities. 2. By three years for candidates belonging to OBC communities. 3. For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) falling under the following categories: (i) UR - ten years, ii) OBC - 13 years (iii) SC/ST - 15 4.
