Opportunity for Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biotechnology candidates to Join NBPGR

Applications are invited for the selection of Senior Research Fellow (1 No.) and Field Assistant (2 Nos.) under National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (NMHYS): Plant Quarantine Field Facility component at ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Hyderabad as mentioned below.

Place of work : ICAR-NBPGR Regional Station, Hyderabad

Senior Research Fellow (1 No.)
Duration : For 1 year (can be extended for further one year on the basis of satisfactory services) ₹37,000 + HRA/month for 1st and 2nd year; ₹42,000 +HRA/month for 3rd year, as applicable under ICAR norms
Essential : Master degree in Science (Plant Pathology/ Entomology/ Nematology/ Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Zoology/ Molecular Biology/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent Degree) with 4/5 years bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years bachelor’s degree must have UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET qualification or equivalent or a Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines as prescribed under ICAR guidelines .
Desirable : 1) Experience in plant pathology/entomology/nematology /molecular biology laboratory related works. 2) Basic knowledge of Computer (MS office, Excel, PPT etc).
Upper age limit : 35 Years Age relaxation : 5 years for SC/ ST/ woman candidates, Upto 10 years for Differently Abled candidates and 3 years for OBC (non- creamy layer), is applicable as per Govt. of India/ICAR Rules.

Field Assistant (2 Nos.)
Duration : For 1 year (can be extended for further one year on the basis of satisfactor y services) ₹20,000+ HRA/month
Essential : Graduate in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry/ Life sciences from Recognized University in India.
Desirable : 1) Experience in plant pathology/microbiology laboratory related works.
2) Basic knowledge of Computer (MS office, Excel, PPT etc.
Upper age limit : 50 Years Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ ST/ woman candidates, Upto 10 years for Differently Abled candidates and 3 years for OBC (non- creamy layer), is applicable as per Govt. of India/ICAR Rules.

Terms and Conditions
• Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview
• Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview.
• No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
• The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project, selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR
• The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
• The Director reserves the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be made.
• Candidates are required to send scanned pdf copy of all the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc., with an application with full bio-data affixing a passport size photograph on the top. The originals will be verified at the time of joining.
• If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her candidature to the interview/ selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
• Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the PI and fund availability by the funding agency.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi only.
