NIPER announces hiring of Scientists in Preclinical studies - MPharm / MSc or Phd in pharmaceutical sciences

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs) have been created by an act of Parliament and each institute is an autonomous body functioning under the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. Having been declared as “Institutes of National Importance”. NIPERs have been contributing to the growth of the Pharmaceutical Education and Research to meet the country's progress towards skilled professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. Minimum Qualification
Project Research Scientist-II : Post Graduate Degree (MSc or MS Pharm/ MPharm in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry) including the integrated PG degrees, with three years post qualification experience or Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.
Project Research Scientist-III: Post Graduate Degree in Pharmacology and regulatory toxicology, including the integrated PG degrees, with five years’ post qualification experience or Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Toxicology + two years post qualification experience.

Desirable Qualifications
Project Research Scientist-II: The candidate should have rich experience in synthetic organic chemistry especially in multi-step synthesis, rational drug design and SAR development. Experience in modern characterization techniques including chromatography (HPLC/UPLC), spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR, HRMS etc.) is required. Preference will be given to the candidates with experience in multi-step synthesis, synthetic methodologies, in silico studies and good publication track record in peer reviewed international journals (Preference will be given to Q1 publications).

Project Research Scientist-III: Candidates with experience in cancer drug discovery, NCE screening, in vitro cell culture studies, molecular biology, in vivo animal models, regulatory studies will be preferred and good publication track record in peer reviewed international journals (Preference will be given to Q1 publications).

Emoluments:
Project Research Scientist-II
Rs. 67,000/- pm+ HRA 30% @ Rs 20,100 pm = Rs. 87,100 pm (Year-I and II) increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completing for every two years Rs. 70,350/- pm + HRA 30% @ Rs 21,105 pm = Rs. 91,455 pm (Year-III and IV).

Project Research Scientist-III
Rs. 78,000/- pm+ HRA 30% @ Rs. 23,400 pm = Rs. 1,01,400 pm (Year-I and II) Increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completing for every two years Rs. 81,900/- pm+ HRA 30% @Rs. 24,570 pm = Rs. 1,06,470 pm (Year-III and IV).
*Initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to next 3 years based on performance only. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
