Qualification
Essential : • First-class post-graduate degree (M.Sc./MS) in Life Sciences/ Chemistry with a minimum of 3 years of experience, of which at least two years should be in the area of developing Lateral flow devices. Working experience on sepsis-related biomarkers will be an added advantage,
Desirable : • Experience/ Knowledge in analytical chemistry.
• Experience/ Knowledge in working with lateral flow assays, paper-based microfluidics, electrochemical sensors, conjugation chemistry for immobilization of antibodies to detection nanoparticles, surface modification of paper-based devices.
Age limit : 40 years
Job profile : Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical) will be involved in optimizing the fabrication process for paper-based microfluidic devices and lateral flow devices. They will work extensively on designing, fabricating, and characterizing paper-based and lateral-flow devices for detecting sepsis biomarkers. They will be responsible for validating the device, standardizing and validating the ELISA method, comparing it with the paper-based assay, and working closely with the ESIC team to test with real samples. They will need to travel frequently to the ESIC hospital in Hyderabad for project-related work.

Qualification
Essential : 1. First-class post-graduate degree (M.Sc./MS/Ph.D.) in Life Sciences/ Chemistry. 1 to 2 years of experience and GATE/NET qualifications will be an added advantage. In exceptional cases, candidates with less experience can be considered.
2. First-class post-graduate degree (M.Tech.) in Biomedical Engineering/ Bioengineering/ Biotechnology/ Medical Devices. GATE/NET qualification with experience in the relevant area will be an added advantage.

Job profile : He/She has to work actively on biological sample processing, quality and integrity checking of processed samples, and performing proteomics, metabolomics, and transcriptomics. Should be a team player, well-versed in writing and communication skills.
