CRO – R&D Department
Qualification : Ph.D. (Medicinal Chemistry)
Experience : 3–5 Years
Location : ShamIrpet, Hyderabad
Key Responsibilities
• Design and synthesize novel small molecules based on biological and medicinal chemistry objectives.
• Develop and execute multi-step organic synthesis routes, including reaction optimization and scale-up.
• Perform structure–activity relationship (SAR) studies to improve potency, selectivity, efficacy and drug-like properties.
• Analyze and interpret analytical data such as NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, GC and other relevant techniques.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, experimental procedures, compound inventories and research documentation.
• Collaborate with biologists, computational chemists, analytical scientists, DMPK scientists and other cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate experimental results and propose new compounds and synthetic strategies.
• Troubleshoot challenging synthetic chemistry problems and develop alternative routes when required.
• Prepare compounds and intermediates for biological, pharmacological and ADME/DMPK evaluation.
• Present research findings and contribute to project discussions, reports, scientific publications or patents.
• Follow laboratory safety, chemical handling and regulatory procedures.
Preferred Experience
• Experience in small-molecule drug discovery, from Hit-to-Lead and lead optimization.
• Understanding of ADME/DMPK, pharmacology and toxicology considerations is an advantage.
