The Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an institution of national importance and a statutory body established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. It functions as a UNESCO Category II Centre with regional and global partnerships. RCB’s primary mandate is to provide world-class education and training, and to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research in biotechnology to develop high-quality human resources in a globally competitive research environment.
Post : Project - JRF position
Title of Project : Exploring the Entamoeba histolytica ribosome as a potential drug target to treat amoebiasis.
Duration : Up to 24th March 2027
Upper Age limit : 33 Years as on 30.09.2026
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in life sciences with NET/DBT-JRF/GATE or equivalent exam cleared. Minimum 60% marks in Masters or equivalent degree.
Desirable Qualifications : Research experience in gene cloning, protein purification, ribosome purification, and cryo- electron microscopy. Good oral and written communication skills. A strong motivation for a career in research.
