DBT Fellowship for Pharma, Life Sciences candidates at NIPGR

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of Senior Research Fellow/Senior Project Associate in DBT multi-institutional project entitled “Development of Genome Edited Nitrogen Use Efficient lines with Improved Nutritional Quality for Sustainable Agriculture in rice (GENUEINrice)” under the supervision of Dr. Hasthi Ram Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR. The details of the position are as under

Online Interview for SRF/PA-II position in DBT project

Emoluments : Rs. 42,000+27% HRA per month as per norms and as sanctioned in the project.

Qualification for Senior Research Fellow (SRF)/ Senior Project Associate (SPA) : Candidates having Master’s degree in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences with 60% (or Equivalent) marks or an equivalent degree in any branch of Biological/Life Sciences with two years post-master’s degree experience in research and fulfils the eligibility criteria mentioned in the DST-OM No. DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023, are eligible to apply.

For SPA position, candidates having Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent, along with a minimum of four years of proven experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services Or Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/ Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent and fulfilling the norms/guidelines as prescribed in the DST Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply.
Upper age limit under this SPA position is 40 years.

Desirable research experience : Candidates with strong research experience in rice/plant molecular biology/genome-editing/miRNAs/plant tissue culture are strongly encouraged to apply, and candidates with one or more of these areas will be preferred.

The above position is completely temporarily and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending on the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR. A web interview will be conducted. A link with the date and time of the online interview will be emailed to the shortlisted candidates only.
