Candidates are invited to appear before the selection committee for a walk-in-interview to fill the purely temporary position of one Junior Research Fellow in the Institute, in the “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, under the supervision of Dr. Senjuti Sinharoy, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR. The details of the position are as under.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (one Post)
Emoluments : Rs. 37,000/- plus HRA per month.
Qualification : Candidates should have Master’s degree or an equivalent in any branch of Life Sciences/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular Biology or any other related field with two years’ post-master’s degree, experience of research in the relevant areas and having CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/DST- INSPIRE and fulfilling the guidelines/norms of DST OM No: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply. Furthermore, candidates with strong microbiological skills and experience in plant-symbiotic interactions will be given preferences.
The above position is completely temporary and for a maximum of one year. The initial appointment will be for one year, and the same may be curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate for the above post based on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim, implicit or explicit, for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.

Candidates must ascertain their eligibility before coming, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All candidates are requested to appear for the interview with a complete bio-data in the given format, along with original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or exerting influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s). No TA/DA will be paid for attending the online interview
