BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences Fellowship for Pharma, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences candidates

BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences (BRIC ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following positions under the project titled “Exploring the marine ecosystems for novel bioresources with human health and industrial significance.”

Project duration : Upto 31.03.2027 or the completion of the project as per GoI orders and based on annual performance appraisal

Position #1 Project Scientist – I
Number of posts : 01
Upper age limit : 35 years
Remuneration : 56,000/- per month + 18% HRA
Eligibility criteria : Essential qualifications Doctoral degree in science or Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable qualifications : The candidate should have completed a PhD in any field of life sciences with experience in bioinformatics and analysis of NGS datasets. Candidates with experience in the above field and publications in peer- reviewed journals are encouraged to apply.

Senior Research Fellow / Senior Project Associate

Upper age limit : 35 years
Remuneration : 42,000/- per month + 18% HRA
Eligibility criteria Essential qualifications : Candidates having M.Sc. / M. Tech / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Virology / Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Microbiology, etc.) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (relaxation will be given as per GOI guideline) with 2 years of experience in research work are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates qualified in national-level entrance tests (NET/GATE/GPAT). For non-NET/GATE candidates, the fellowship would be applicable as per DST guidelines.
Desirable qualifications : Candidates with more than two years of research experience in mammalian cell culture, drug screening, bioprospecting, metabolite extraction, and mass-spectrometry.

Technician
Number of posts : 01
Upper age limit : 30 years
Remuneration : 20,000/- per month + 18% HRA
Essential qualifications : BSc. / 3 years diploma in Science, Engineering, and Technology
Desirable qualifications : Experience with Linux operating system, data analysis.

The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The Director's decision on candidate selection will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
