Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up purely temporary position of one Senior Research Fellow/Project Associate-II in the DBT project entitled “Functional characterization of genomeedited lines for discovering novel genes regulating grain mineral contents in Indica rice”, under the supervision of Dr. Hasthi Ram, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR.
Post : Senior Research Fellow / Project Associate-II (One Post)
Emoluments : Rs. 42000/- + 27% HRA
Qualification : For Senior Research Fellow, candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned in the DST Office Memorandum number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023 and having Master’s degree in any branch of Biological /Life Sciences with 60% (or Equivalent) marks or an equivalent degree in any branch of Biological / Life Sciences with two years post-master’s degree experience in research are eligible to apply. For Project Associate-II, candidates having Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines as per DST-OM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 and having two years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services are eligible to apply.
Upper age limit under this SPA position is 35 years.
Candidates with strong research experience in Protein analysis techniques, western blotting, Yeast-Two Hybrid, Transient essays in Tobacco, DNA-Protein interactions are encouraged to apply and will be preferred
The above position is completely temporarily and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship/emolument amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending on the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.
