CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, is a premier Institute working under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
Post : Senior PAT (02 positions)
This Institute invites applications from qualified and motivated candidates for the following project-based positions, purely on a temporary basis, under the CSIR-funded Project No. HCP-0007 entitiled “CSIR Aroma Mission, Phase-III ”, tenable at CSIR-IIIM Jammu
Essential Qualification : 1. M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/Biochemistry/ Food Sciences from a recognized University with 60% marks. and 3 years of research experience in working with microbiology/ Biotechnology lab, with proven experience in Scientific publications and other Scientific activities OR
2. Doctoral degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry from a recognized university or equivalent and 2 years of experience in working with microbiology/ Biotechnology lab, scientific publications, and other Scientific activities and services.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in basic microbiology/ biotechnology methods/ handling scientific equipments related to Fermentation & downstreaming processing/ enzymology etc. and Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in organizing skill development programs, workshops, Exhibitions, and conferences.
Upper Age Limit : 42 years
Stipend (per month in Rs.) : 42,000/- + HRA**
**HRA will be paid only if Institutional accommodation is not availed/ provided.
General Terms, Conditions & Instructions
1) The engagement will initially be for a period of one year or until the project duration,whichever is earlier. It may be extended or curtailed depending on the project duration, requirements and the performance/conduct of the incumbent(s).The current duration of the project is upto 31.03.2026.
2) The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed six years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
3) The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
4) Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5) Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the date of the Interview.
6) In case the final certificates reflect CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades, the candidates should convert the same into an equivalent percentage as per the approved formula of the University in the Google Form, and a copy of such conversion must be uploaded on the Google form
7) Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
8) The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview.
9) The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not to fill any or all advertised positions.
10) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions.
11) Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/ candidature/ selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
12) Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
13) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
