Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of two Research Associate-I in the following projects under the supervision of Dr. Manoj Majee, Scientist, NIPGR. The details of positions are as under
Research Associate-I
Salary : Rs. 58000/- plus HRA as sanctioned in the project)
Project : DBT project entitled “Investigation of the molecular intricacies, mechanisms and role of Methionine Sulfoxide Reductase A (MSR A) in preserving seed vigor and viability in rice during seed aging and storage”.
Research Associate-I
Salary : Rs. 47000/- plus HRA as sanctioned in the project)
Project : ANRF-CRG project entitled “Investigation of the role of AtSKIP31-JAZ-ABI TFs module in integrating ABA-JA signaling for the acquisition of seed desiccation tolerance and seed vigor in Arabidopsis thaliana”
Qualification : Candidates having a doctorate (Ph.D) degree in Life Sciences or equivalent with a good publication record and fulfilling the norm/guidelines of DST Office Memorandum number DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply. Prior experience in plant biology, raising transgenics and genome editing lines (Arabidopsis/Rice), molecular analysis of transgenic and genome-editing events is highly desirable.
The above positions are completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above position is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT /DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. onwards along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at NIPGR from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on October 13, 2025. Any candidate reporting after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data in given format and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note : Candidates applying for both positions must submit separate application along with mentioned documents. Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
