CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad (CSIR-IICT) is a Premier Research Laboratory under the Council of  Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of  Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-IICT is a multi-disciplinary Institute with proven strengths in Organic Chemistry (Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, Agro-chemicals & Semio-chemicals), Inorganic & Physical Chemistry including Catalysis, Lipid Science & Technology, Organic Coatings & Polymers, Functional Materials, Chemical Biology, Chemical /Environmental/ Design Engineering.

CSIR – IICT is conducting Walk-in-Interview for the following positions under various sponsored projects purely on temporary basis.

Research Associate-I (P) (01 post)
Name of the Project : Hierarchical Nanostructured composites based on semiconducting oxides for Ammonia detection 
Emoluments : Rs. 58,000+HRA
Essential Qualification : M.Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Nano Technology with 2 years’ experience in R&D in Academic/ Industry/ S&T Organisation (OR) Ph.D in Physical/ Chemical Sciences with 2 years’ experience in R&D in Academic/ Industry/ S&T Organisation 
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Materials Sciences especially Nano Structured materials Synthesis, Characterization & Application in Gas Sensors

Principal Project Associate (Principal-PAT) (01 post)
Name of the Project : Analysis of referral coal samples
Emoluments : Rs. 49,000+HRA
Essential Qualification : M.Tech in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering with 3 years’ experience in R&D

Senior Project Associate (Senior-PAT) (01 post)
Name of the Project : CO2 Capture from flue gases through Liquid-Liquid Phase Change absorption

Essential Qualification : M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 2 years’ research experience (OR) Ph.D in Chemical Engineering with 2 years’ research experience Organisation

Name of the Project : Optimal Process Design Through Comparative Investigation of Techno-Economic and LCA of Different Solvents in Post- combustion CO2 Capture
Emoluments : Rs. 35,000+HRA to Scholars who are qualified CSIR- UGC / ICAR / ICMR NET including lectureship / assistant Professorship or GATE OR Scholars who are qualified National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and their agencies and institutions and Rs. 28,000+HRA for others who don’t qualify above

Project Assistant- II (PA-II) (01 post)
Name of the Project : Sustainable Development of PBAT from Biomass & Waste Plastic
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000+HRA
Essential Qualification : B.Sc in Chemistry
Desirable Qualification : One year experience in R&D

Upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the date of interview. 
Only those candidates who have acquired the essential qualification & result has been declared (should have at least a provisional certificate) are eligible to appear in the Walk-in- interview. 
Result awaited/ Final semester appeared candidates are not eligible to appear in the Walk-in-interview for the position where such minimum essential qualification requirement is mandatory.

1. The above age limits are relaxable for candidates of statutory groups (SC/ST/OBC/Women) and PWD candidates as per Govt. of India/ CSIR instructions on the subject. 
2. The candidates who have already served CSIR-IICT or any other lab/institute of CSIR as any Project Assistant / Project Fellow / JRF (in contract R&D projects) / SRF (in contract R&D projects) / Research Associate (P) etc., for a total period of 6 years or more are not eligible for these engagements. The candidates who have served for a period less than 6 years will have tenure up to remaining period till completion of 6 years. 
3. CSIR-IICT reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the award in case of any discrepancy found, in the candidature of any selected candidate at any stage. 
4. The selection will be on the basis of interview & skill test if applicable will be conducted for suitable posts. 
5. CSIR-IICT reserves the right not to fill up a particular position, if it so desires. The number of vacancies indicated above may vary at the time of actual selection. 
6. The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications for that position. 
7. Candidates without any documents as prescribed will not be allowed for the interview. Non-submission of essential documents will entail forfeiture of candidature and the same will not be entertained for exemption, if any. 
8. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis initially for a period up to six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the sponsored project / satisfactory performance or conduct of the fellow as the case may be and does not entitle him/her for any permanent position in CSIR/IICT
9. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview. 
10. No interim enquiry or correspondence will be entertained.

Candidates should register their names for walk-in-interview between 09.30 AM to 10.30 AM on 26.09.2025 respectively.

Candidates who fulfill the under-mentioned criteria of age, educational qualifications, experience etc., may appear for walk-in-interview with the duly filled application form (download the application form from CSIR-IICT Website) along with one set of attested relevant documents (certificates of all educational qualifications from matric/10th onwards, valid NET/GATE etc, Experience, DOB, latest Category/Caste etc) and appear for walk in interview. Candidates are required to bring all the original certificates for verification.
