Project Associate-II

Work Description : 1. Develop and maintain front-end and back-end components of web portals handling multimodal datasets (genomics, text, images etc.).
2. Design and implement efficient, scalable database architectures to manage high-volume data.
3. Full-Stack Developer for Multimodal Database Development.

Project Associate-II

Work Description : 1. The project study involves the characterization of microbial diversity through metagenomics-based approach to identify/discover unknown (potentially) evolutionary lineages of various bacteria and viruses, in the healthy individuals who are in close contact with the wild-life and livestock in the region.
2. Perform molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA isolation, cDNA preparation, PCR, qRT-PCR, library preparation, high-throughput sequencing of the metagenomic DNA, RNA sequencing, etc. Master’s in Biotechnology/Microbiology
Desirable Qualification : 1. Hands-on research experience of genomics-based investigations of human samples from disease cohort.
2. Experience with NGS protocols/instruments handling would be useful. 3. Know-how of NGS data analysis would be handy.

Work Description : 1. Handling genome wide genotyping array data from QC to analysis (like Illumina GSA data), Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis from data QC to genomic analysis.
2. Epigenomic analysis, especially handling methylation genome wide genotyping array data.
Desirable Qualification : 1. M.Sc. Bioinformatics/Computational biology/Data Science.
2. Knowing programing language.
