National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER - Raebareli) is an autonomous body which has been established under the aegis of the Department of pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in the Government of India, to provide leadership in pharmaceutical Sciences and other related areas. It admits students for M.S (Pharm), programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Regulatory Toxicology and Biotechnology every year. Ph.D programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology & Toxicology started from 2017 and in Biotechnology from 2021.

Post : Junior Research Assistant (JRA)

Advertisement for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the UPCST sponsored Project Applications are invited from Indian citizens, who are residents of Uttar Pradesh for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the research project entitled “Flavanoid-loaded mannosylated nano lipidic vesicles for therapeutic intervention of Wilson disease” (PI: Dr. Rahul Shukla and Co-PI: Dr. Ravinder Kaundal) vide Sanction letter no. CST/D-1162; dated 22.08.25 sponsored by Council of Science and Technology, U.P. Lucknow.

Essential qualifications : The candidates should possess M.S (Pharm.) or M.Pharm. in Pharmaceutics / Biotechnology or Pharmacology & Toxicology, M.Sc. (Life sciences) / Biotechnology, PG degree in other relevant branches of life sciences. High academic achievement with a 1st class graduate and post-graduate examination with fulfilment of basic qualification.
Desirable skills : Preference may be for candidates with exposure to cell culture/histology/molecular biology and animal handling or other relevant experimental skills.

Age limit : Maximum 28 years as of 1st April 2025 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).
Candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
Tenure of Appointment : 3 years.
The performance of the recruited JRA will be evaluated at the end of one year from the start of the project; and will be extended for another one more year based on satisfactory performance.

The position is purely temporary with a consolidated stipend of INR 25,000/- per month for the 02-year and 28,000/- per month for the 3rd Year duration (without any benefits of HRA, CCA, PF, LTC, medical claim, etc.) and will be governed by the funding agency CST U.P. guidelines & service conditions of NIPER- Raebareli.
