B.Pharm Opportunity at NIAB premier institute of DBT

NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenesis, stem cell & its applications, reproductive biotechnology, infectious diseases, nanotechnology, bioinformatics and Nutrigenomics. The Institute aims at translational research leading to genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and basic research towards development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

Post : Project Associate-I

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up One Project Associate-I positions for the project titled, ‘Surveillance of avian viruses in poultry farm environment in the neighborhood of BRIC-NIAB of Telangana State’ funded through NCBS- TIFR under the guidance of Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.

Eligibility criteria : Four years Bachelor’s degree in Natural or Agricultural sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / B.Pharma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a recognized University of equivalent.

Salary : 37,000/-+HRA for those with NET or any national level exams or 30,000/-+HRA for those who do not have NET or not qualified any national level exams

Desired experiences : Experience in RNA, DNA isolations, PCR, QPCR, cloning and handling cell culture.

Upper Age limit : 35 years

Duration of the project : 1 year (the appointment may be renewed based on satisfactory performance till the completion of the project)
