The Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University) Varanasi owes its existence to Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, the founder of the first residential University of modern India, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), who could foresee the vital role of technical education in strengthening independent India. Engineering education in BHU started in 1919 with the establishment of Banaras Engineering College (BENCO).
Post : Junior Research Associate (JRA)
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following position for the research project titled “Advancing 6G: Development of Test-Beds for Joint Sensing and Communication System” (PID: 5241), sponsored by the Council of Science & Technology, Uttar Pradesh.
Number of positions : 01
Emoluments (p.m.) : Rs. 28000/- per month
Essential Educational Qualification :
● Only Indian citizens who are residents of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for Research Assistantships/Associateships in the research project funded by CST-UP.
● Junior Research Assistantship (JRA) may be awarded to holders of M.Sc. (Ag), M.Sc., M. Pharm., M.V.Sc., Bachelor of Engineering / Technology (B.E./B.Tech.) or an equivalent degree.
● High academic attainment with First Class in graduate and postgraduate examinations is required.
● The upper age limit for a Junior Research Assistant shall be 28 years as on 1st April of the year in which the application is made.
General Terms and Conditions
1. The position is purely temporary and is coterminous with the project.
2. The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit based on qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
3. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed to appear in the interview, and no other communications in this regard will be entertained.
4. The candidate is expected to join immediately if selected.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
6. Other relevant Guidelines of the funding agency and the GoI rules will be followed.
