Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the post of Junior Research Fellow [JRF] (on contract) in research project entitled “Portable 3D X-ray Imaging Diagnostic Tool for Early Disease Detection of TB and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseases (COPD)” sanction letter no. 22WS(0031)/2023-24/EMR-II/ASPIRE, sponsored by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research [CSIR], New Delhi.

The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the funding agency CSIR guidelines rules & service conditions of office of the Dean (Research & Consultancy), MNNIT Allahabad, Prayagraj.

Project Tenure : Three Years
Job Description : • The project involves design and development of a portable diagnostic tool using 3D X-ray image reconstruction, machine learning algorithms for early disease detection, and testing of the prototype device.
• Keep and maintain the record of the work in presentable form (soft as well as hard copy).
• Keep a track of contingencies/consumables required for the work.
• Carry out the detailed literature survey, writing research papers and technical reports.
Essential Qualifications : The minimum qualifications are BS 4 years programme /BPharm /MBBS /Integrated BS-MS /MSc /BE /B. Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent degree, with 55% marks and passing of valid NET/GATE score/test. [ME/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology will also be considered] The preference will be given to those candidates who have degrees in field related to Computer Science and Engineering/Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning discipline.
Age Limit : The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years as on the day on which the application is made.
Age Relaxation : The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes / tribes / OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates.
Fellowship : Rs. 37,000.00 per month + HRA (for candidate has not been given hostel accommodation (stipend paid/payable will be treated as pay for the purpose of HRA)
Other Benefits : Accommodation may be available as per the availability and the Institute norms. Candidate selected for the JRF may register for Ph.D. if eligibility conditions as set by Institute is met by him/her. Facility of yearly leave., carryover leave, medical benefits etc. may be available as per CSIR guidelines of the Project.
Tenure of Appointment : The project is three-year duration. So, appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year initially, which may be extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till the end of project.

6. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
