The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Since its establishment in 1978, the CCRUM as the apex government organization for research in Unani Medicine has been engaged in conducting scientific research on the applied as well as fundamental aspects of Unani system of medicine. Consequently, over the past four decades of its existence, the Council has made significant strides in clinical research, drug standardization, survey and cultivation of medicinal plants, and literary research. Besides, research-oriented health extension services, and information, education and communication (IEC) activities have also been part of the Council’s programmes.

Post : Senior Research Fellow (Molecular Biology)

Interested Candidates fulfilling the following conditions may appear with their original documents for a walk-in interview before the selection committee for Senior Research Fellow (Molecular Biology) on a contract basis for the IMR project entitled “A Randomized, Parallel Group, Open Label, Active Controlled Clinical Study to compare the Efficacy of Qurs-e-Asfar(O) and Marham-e-Dād (L) with Itraconazole(O) and Terbinafine (L) in the Management of Qūbā (Dermatophytosis) along with Gene expression and Biomarkers Analysis” at National Research Institute of Unani Medicine for Skin Disorders (NRIUMSD), AG Colony Road, Opposite E.S.I. Hospital, Erragadda, Hyderabad.

Tenure : Initially for one year and may be extended for another two years on the basis of performance or with the termination of the project whichever is earlier.

Consolidated Pay : 42,000/+ HRA

Essential Qualification
Master Degree in Biochemistry/Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology with 2 Years Research Experience

Desirable
• The candidates should have hands on experience in performing Basic Molecular Biology techniques, like ELISA, RT PCR etc.
• Knowledge of clinical trial.
• Publications in peer reviewed journal indexed in Scopus/ Web of Science

The Terms & Conditions for the post are as follows
1. The post is purely contractual in nature and selected candidate shall have no claim for appointment on regular basis at NRIUMSD, Hyderabad or CCRUM, New Delhi.
2. The eligibility of the candidates will be determined as on the date of interview.
3. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be given as per the existing Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Govt. of India rules.
4. The engagement shall be initially for a period of one year and may be extended further by the competent authority on the basis of the performance.
5. The candidate may be terminated from the post without assigning any reason as and when deemed necessary by the competent authority. The engagement may be terminated with one-month prior notice from either side.
6. The candidate already in service should also bring a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer.
7. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to appear for the interview. The final decision will be taken by the Director, NRIUMSD Hyderabad. 8. The verification of documents /certificates will be done before the interview.

10. The candidate should also bring original education/professional qualification certificate/experience certificate(s) along with a set of photo copies and two recent passport size photographs.

11. The candidate has to bring (CGPA/SGPA) appropriate supporting document issued by respective university/Institute to convert grading to percentage.
12. Candidates who fulfil the above requirements may report for interview on 18-09-2025 at 09.00 AM to 11.00 AM for the post of Senior Research Fellow (Unani) and on 19-09-2025 at 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for the post of Senior Research Fellow (Molecular Biology) at National Research Institute of Unani Medicine for Skin Disorders, Opp. ESI Hospital, Erragadda, Hyderabad-500 038.
13. No benefit of Provident Fund, Medical Claims etc. is admissible.
14. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
15. The competent authority reserves the right to accept or reject the candidature without assigning reason. Canvassing in any form will render the candidature disqualified.
16. The competent authority reserves the right to postpone/cancel the recruitment exercise at any stage without assigning any reason thereof.
