National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER - Raebareli) is an autonomous body which has been established under the aegis of the Department of pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in the Government of India, to provide leadership in pharmaceutical Sciences and other related areas. It admits students for M.S (Pharm), programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Regulatory Toxicology and Biotechnology every year. Ph.D programmes in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology & Toxicology started from 2017 and in Biotechnology from 2021.
Post : Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the CST UP sponsored Project
Applications are invited from Indian citizens, who are residents of Uttar Pradesh for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for the research project entitled “Unraveling the structural and mechanistic aspects of H19 long noncoding RNA (lncRNA)in the development and progression of breast cancer” (PI: Dr. Abhishek Dey and Co-PI: Dr. Niranjan Meher) vide Sanction letter no. CST/D/Biotech-1293; dated 25.08.25 sponsored by Council of Science and Technology, U.P. Lucknow.
The position is purely temporary with a consolidated stipend of INR 25,000 per month for a duration of 2 years (without any benefits of HRA, CCA, PF, LTC, medical claim, etc.) and will be governed by the funding agency's CST U.P. guidelines & service conditions of NIPER Raebareli.

Essential qualifications : The candidates should possess M.S. (Pharm.) or M. Pharm. in Medicinal Chemistry/Biotechnology, M.Sc. in Chemistry/Life Sciences, PG degree in other relevant branches of Chemical Sciences and Life Sciences. High academic achievement with a 1st class graduate and post-graduate examination with fulfillment of basic qualification.
Desirable skills : Preference may be given to candidates with exposure to chemical synthesis of small molecules/polymer, cell culture, molecular biology and other relevant experimental skills.
Age limit : Maximum 28 years as of 1st April 2025 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).
Tenure of Appointment : 2 years: The performance of the recruited JRA will be evaluated at the end of one year from the start of the project and will be extended for another one more year based on satisfactory performance.

1. The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. (Candidates need to provide UP domicile certificate)
2. Mere possession of the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be considered for an interview. The candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and the needs of the project.
