NIAB is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and take up research in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute's focus of research will be on Animal Genetics and Genomics, Transgenic Technology, Reproductive Biotechnology, Infectious Diseases, Bioinformatics and Nutrition Enrichment. The institute aims at translational research leading to the development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals. The Institute plans to promote bio entrepreneurship by providing support environment for commercial tenants involved in the development of farm animal based products.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following position at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad against DBT funded project entitled “A study to understand the genetic variations among the field isolates of porcine circo viruses from piggery farms in Mizoram, with ultimate aim to engineer an effective recombinant chimeric DIVA Vaccine”, PI: Dr. Madhuri Subbiah.

Fellowship amount: Rs.25000/-+30% HRA = 32,500/- PM as per the DST guidelines.

Eligibility: Post Graduate Degree in Life Sciences or Post Graduate degree in professional courses (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). However Non NET candidates can also apply who will be paid as per their eligibility.

Candidate with experience in Molecular Biology and Cell culture techniques are encouraged to apply.

Age: 28 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
