National Brain Research Centre is the only institute in India dedicated to neuroscience research and education. Scientists and students of NBRC come from diverse academic backgrounds, including biological, computational, mathematical, physical, engineering and medical sciences, and use multidisciplinary approaches to understand the brain. Located in the foothills of the Aravali range in Manesar, Haryana, NBRC is an autonomous institute funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and is also a Deemed University.

NATIONAL BRAIN RESEARCH CENTRE (NBRC), Manesar-122 051, Gurgaon, requires one Research Associate in Prof. Neeraj Jain’s Laboratory for a Project funded by Department of Biotechnology.

Post: Research Associate

Title of the project: Mechanisms of Adult Brain Reorganization

Minimum qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in any branch of science (subject area of the previous research experience will not be a consideration for the selection).

• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply. Please clearly specify whether thesis for Ph.D. Degree has been submitted & viva is awaited or Ph.D. Degree has been awarded, along with the date of submission of thesis or date of award of degree, whichever is applicable.

Please note: Candidates should also submit their (1) curriculum vitae, (2) a write-up (not more than 3 pages) summarizing their previous research work, and their interest in the research area of the laboratory where they are applying.

Include self-attested copies of certificates in support of the qualifications and work experience (if any) and names of 3 referees. Short-listed candidates will asked to provide reference letters, one of which must be from the Ph.D. supervisor.

Mode of appointment: In a project with a fellowship of ` 22,000/- p.m. + 30% HRA (if applicable).

Tenure: The tenure will be for a period of one year initially and can be extended based on performance review. The post is co-terminus with the project. Selected candidates should abide by the rules and regulations of NBRC and DBT.

Accommodation: Accommodation may be provided as per rules of NBRC, subject to availability.

Note: No TA / DA will be provided for the interview
