CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, is a premier Institute working under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.
Eligible, interested and highly motivated candidates are invited for Walk-in Interview for the following project-based positions, purely on a temporary basis, under the CCRUM funded project No. GAP3203 entitled “Establishing Scientific Validation of “Itrifal Sanai” for its medicinal use in the management of stress and depressive disorders” tenable at CSIR-IIIM, Branch Lab, Sanat Nagar, Srinagar
Post : Junior Research Fellow [ One Position]
Essential Qualification : M.Sc. Biological Sciences / M.Pharm in Pharmacology from a recognized University or equivalent, Selected through any one of the following processes
Desirable Qualification : Experience in cell culture, molecular biology, biochemical and cellular assays, or related areas of clinical/biomedical research. Candidates having research experience with laboratory animals and proficiency in experimental techniques pertaining to neurological disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, or neuroscience research will be given preference.
Upper Age Limit : 28 yrs
Stipend (per month in ₹) : 37,000/- + HRA**
**HRA will be paid only if Institutional accommodation is not availed/ provided.
General Terms, Conditions & Instructions
1. The engagement will initially be for a period of ONE YEAR or until the project duration, whichever is earlier. It may be extended or curtailed depending on the project requirements and the performance/conduct of the incumbent(s). The current duration of the project is up to Two Years Only.
2. The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed Five years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
3. The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, do not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
4. Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5. Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the date of Interview.
6. Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
7. The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview.
8. The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right not to fill any or all advertised positions.
9. Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions.
10. Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/candidature/selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
11. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
12. All applicants must fulfil the essential qualification and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the date of Interview. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down as on the date of Interview.
13. In case of any discrepancy or error, kindly consider only the English version as final and authentic.
14. Upon receipt of funds under the project, the offer of engagement shall be issued to the selected candidate.
15. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
Mode of Selection
Selection is to be done on the basis of Interview; however, if a large number of candidates apply, the Screening/Selection Committee may revisit the screening criteria, if required.
