Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, an Institution of eminence deemed to be University, invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) and Project Technical Support – III for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India, funded research project titled “Integrating Pharmacovigilance, Multi-omics, and Pharmacometrics Approaches in Lung Cancer Patients: A Strategy for Precision Medicine” at Department of Pharmacy Practice, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non- Medical) (Position : 1)
Qualification : M.Sc./ M. Pharm/PharmD/ MTech (LifeSciences/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ PharmacyPractice preferred) with three years of researchexperience.
Skills required :
• Prior experience in pharmacogenomics or pharmacokinetics in cancer research
• Molecular biology experiments and blood sample collection from patients
• Prior clinical research experience
• Computer skills: GraphPad Prism, Excel, SPSS, “R” software
• Prior publications in a relevant area are preferred
• Good communication & leadership skills
Remuneration Monthly : Rs. 56,000 + 10% HRA per month (Rs. 61,600)
Responsibilities
• Isolation of genomic RNA and DNA from biological samples
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Manuscript writing and publications
• Day-to-day mentoring of project staff and students; other duties as assigned.
• The candidate needs to be highly motivated, a self- starter and a team player who can work in a highly collaborative and inter-disciplinary environment, including researchers and clinicians.
• The candidate should be highly organized and be able to manage multiple priorities.
Project Technical Support-III (Position: 1)
Qualification : M.Sc. / Pharm. D/M. Pharm (Life Sciences/ Molecular Biology/ Laboratory Technology/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacy Practice preferred)
Skills required :
• Prior experience in pharmacogenomics or pharmacokinetics and cancer research is preferred.
• Molecular biology experiments and blood sample collection from patients
• Prior clinical research experience
• Good communication & leadership Skills
• Computer skills
Remuneration Monthly : Rs. 28000 + 10% HRA per month (Rs. 30,800)
Responsibilities
• Data collection and documentation
• Treatment response tracking
• Biological sample collection, processing, storage and experimentation
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• The candidate needs to be highly motivated, a self- starter and a team player who can work in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, including researchers and clinicians.
Duration of engagement : 04 years. The annual extension will be given after review of the work done during the previous year.
