The origins of the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) are rooted in the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), which was established in 1952 in Parel, Mumbai, under the purview of the Ministry of Health, Government of India. In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH), creating the first comprehensive cancer centre in India - the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Project Title : “Developing novel therapeutic antibody formulation against breast cancer for the Indian population”

Educational Qualifications : 1. Candidates must have completed M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences (Minimum 55% or equivalent grade point) (50% for OBC/SC/ST) are eligible to apply.
2. Candidates who have qualified for a national-level exam, such as NET/GATE/GPAT/BET, etc., are desirable.
3. Candidates with knowledge in Immunology will be preferred, while wet lab experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques are preferable, while handling mice is mandatory.
4. Candidates with good knowledge of computational biology will be preferred.
*M.Sc. degree with a duration of one year will not be considered. The selected candidate will have to join at the earliest; hence, candidates awaiting results will not be eligible to apply for the post.
Consolidated Salary : Rs. 30,600/- p.m.
Age Limit : 30 years (as on 27.10.2026)
Duration : Six months and extendable
The work progress of candidates will be monitored, and an extension may be given after 6 months.
