IIT Ropar Research Recruitment for Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Biotechnology candidates

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for a Project Research Scientist – I position in a high-impact ICMR-funded project involving IIT Ropar and PGIMER Chandigarh, with following details.

Post : Project Research Scientist – I

Title of the project : “A Novel Two-in-One Orthobiologic Injectable for Treating Bone Infections and Defects”.
Work Location : IIT Ropar.

Essential qualifications :
Project Research Scientist – I with or without GATE/NET/CSIR-UGC, etc. qualifying exam, available immediately.
Master’s or PhD Degree in Materials Science, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Life sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, or other medical or life science related subjects.

An ideal candidate should have :
• Understanding of bone or musculoskeletal system
• Hands on experience in a wet-lab environment
• Proficiency in tissue processing, histological work and designing & executing animal studies
• Ability to design and execute biomolecular testing protocols
• Biomedical translational and collaborative acumen
• Prior clinical interactions or industry experience (preferable)

Age limit : Must not be more than 30 years as on closing date of application (relaxation as per the norms/
orders of GOI).

Salary : As per ICMR norms Rs 56,000/- + 10% HRA /month (or Rs. 61,600/- per month)

Project Duration : Three years or up to the termination of project, subject to annual performance review. Candidate may be considered for alternative opportunities subject to performance on the project.
