CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, is a premier Institute working under the aegis of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Eligible, interested and highly motivated candidates are invited for Walk-in Interview for the following project-based positions, purely on a temporary basis, under the CSIR-IIIM ULIP entitled “Prospecting Biodiversity for Drug Discovery and Sustainable Development IIIM-BD (MLP002622) tenable at CSIR- IIIM, Jammu

Project Associate-I [One Position]

Essential Qualification : Master's in Science (Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry) or B.Tech (Biochemical Engineering/Bioprocess Engineering/Biotechnology/Fermentation Technology).
Desirable Qualification : Experience in Microbial Biotechnology, Fermentation Technology or Bioprocess Development.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Monthly Emoluments (per month in Rs.) : (i) ₹31,000/- + HRA OR (ii) ₹25,000/- + HRA (as applicable).

Project Associate-I [One Position]

Essential Qualification : M.Sc. in Microbiology or Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in basic microbiology and/or basic molecular biology techniques.

Desirable Qualification : Candidates with R&D experience in plant systems using modern biotechnological methods.

Desirable Qualification : Candidates with experience in analytical chemistry and quality control.

Project Scientist-III [One Position]

Essential Qualification : Doctoral degree in Pharmacology or Biotechnology, with at least 7 years of R&D experience.
Desirable Qualification : Experience in establishing research facilities and conducting preclinical development and validation studies. Demonstrated expertise in pharmacology supported by publications, patents, and independently funded research projects. Expertise in safety pharmacology and PK-PD.
Upper Age Limit : 45 years
Monthly Emoluments (per month in Rs.) : ₹78,000/- + HRA.

Project Assistant-II [One Position]
Post code : 08
Essential Qualification : B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects.
Desirable Qualification : Practical experience in laboratory work and familiarity with laboratory procedures, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and skills in data management, analysis, documentation, and report preparation.
Upper Age Limit : 35 years
Monthly Emoluments (per month in Rs.) : ₹20,000/- + HRA.

General Terms, Conditions & Instructions :
1) The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The projects are currently sanctioned up to 31 March 2027 and may be extended beyond this period, subject to project continuation and the satisfactory performance of the candidates.
2) The tenure of engagement shall be co-terminus with the project. However, under no circumstances shall the total tenure exceed six years, including engagement in all CSIR labs. Performance will be reviewed periodically and unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination without any notice or reason.
3) The position(s) are purely temporary and are on behalf of the sponsor and, therefore, not confer any right on the incumbent(s) to any claim, implicit or explicit, for absorption on any post in CSIR-IIIM/CSIR.
4) Candidates will have the option to interact in English/Hindi before the Selection Committee.
5) Relaxation in age limit will be given as per Govt. of India Rules. Age will be reckoned as on the of Interview.
6) Upon selection/empanelment, the original documents, including eligibility qualification, DOB, caste, and age relaxation certificate, will be verified; if any discrepancy is found, the selection/empanelment shall stand cancelled.
7) The number of positions may vary depending upon the project requirements at the time of Interview.

8) The Director, CSIR-IIIM reserves the right to not to fill any or all advertised positions.
9) Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification for the positions.
10) Candidates currently engaged in any project at CSIR-IIIM must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before applying for any new vacancy. Applications/ candidature/ selection of such candidates will only be considered if the NOC has been issued by the office.
11) Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
12) All applicants must fulfil the essential qualification and other conditions stipulated in the advertisement as on the date of Interview. They are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the essential qualifications laid down as on the date of Interview.
13) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
14) In case of any discrepancy or error , kindly consider only the English version as final and authentic.

Mode of Selection : Selection is to be done on the basis of Interview; however, if a large number of candidates apply, the Screening/Selection Committee may revisit the Screening/Selection criteria, if required.
