Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, an Institution of eminence deemed to be University, invites applications from eligible candidates for the post of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) and Project Technical Support – III for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India funded research project titled “ Multi- Omics Profiling and Population Pharmacokinetic Approach for Prediction of Drug Interactions and Adverse Drug Reactions for the Antitubercular Therapy (ATT) with Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART), and Comedications” in Department of Pharmacy Practice, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, MAHE, Manipal.
Project Research Scientist-I (Non- Medical) (Position : 1)
Qualification : MSc/PharmD/MPharm/MTech (Life Sciences/Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Pharmacy Practice preferred
Skills required :
• Prior experience in pharmacogenomics or pharmacokinetics and tuberculosis research
• Molecular biology experiments and blood sample collection from patients
• Prior clinical research experience
• Knowledge of adverse drug reaction (ADR) reporting and analysis
• Good communication & leadership Skills
• Computer skills: GraphPad Prism, Excel, SPSS, “R” software
• Prior publications in a relevant area are preferred
Remuneration Monthly : Rs. 56,000 + 10% HRA per month (Rs. 61,600)
Responsibilities
• Isolation of genomic DNA, RNA, and proteins from biological samples
• Isolation of serum and plasma samples from blood samples
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team with multicentric research teams
• Manuscript writing and publications
• Day-to-day mentoring of project staff and students; other duties as assigned.
• Self-motivated
• The candidate should be highly organized and be able to manage multiple priorities.
Project Technical Support-III (Position: 1)
Qualification : MSc / MPharm / PharmD (Life Sciences/ Molecular Biology / Laboratory Technology / Biotechnology, Pharmacy)
Skills required :
• Prior experience in pharmacogenomics or pharmacokinetics and tuberculosis research.
• Molecular biology experiments and blood sample collection from patients
• Prior clinical research experience
• Good communication & leadership Skills
• Computer skills
Remuneration Monthly : Rs. 28000 + 10% HRA per month (Rs. 30,800)
Responsibilities
• Data collection and documentation
• Treatment follow-up of patients
• Isolation of genomic DNA, RNA, and proteins from biological samples
• Isolation of serum and plasma samples from blood samples
• Biological sample collection, processing, storage and experimentation
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
Duration of engagement : 04 years. The annual extension will be given after review of the work done during the previous year.
