Govt. of India funded Fellowship for Biotechnology / Life Science / Microbiology / Biochemistry candidates at BRIC-IBSD

The Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) is an autonomous research institution under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Located in Imphal, Manipur, it is the only DBT institute dedicated exclusively to researching and sustainably utilizing the unique bioresources of the North Eastern Region of India.

Post : Project Associate-I (02 nos.)

Applications are invited from deserved and suitable candidates for the following posts under the project entitled “Characterization of microbial isolates for production of prebiotic generating hemicellulolytic enzymes from North Eastern Regions” funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India at BRIC-IBSD, Imphal.

Upper Age Limit : 35

Fellowship / Consolidated pay : (i) ₹31,000/- + 8% HRA per month to Scholars who are selected through
(a) National Eligibility Tests—CSIR- UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or
(b) A selection process through National level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs. 25,000/- + 8% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
Duration : Three years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier

Qualification :
Essential : Master's Degree in Biotechnology / Life Science / Microbiology / Biochemistry / or equivalent from a recognized University.
Desirable : Candidates with hands-on experience in microbial cultivation, fermentation techniques, microbial enzyme assays, purification, and characterization will be preferred

1. The above position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment either in BRIC-IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
3. The upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms.
