Call for Research Scientist at SGPGIMS

Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) is a medical Institute under the State Legislature Act in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, 14 km south of Hazratganj on Raebareli Road. It was established in 1983 and is named after Sanjay Gandhi. The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked the institute 5th in its medical ranking 2025.

Post : Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical)

Applications are invited for the following posts under my Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Funded Extramural Research Project titled “Multi-Omics Investigation of Amniotic Fluid Mesenchymal Stromal Cells: Linking Isolated Congenital Heart Defects Pathogenesis to Cellular and Molecular Dysregulation” under the supervision of Dr. Chandra Prakash Chaturvedi, Additional Professor, Stem Cell Research Center, Department of Hematology, SGPGIMS, Lucknow.

Salary : ₹56,000 + 20% HRA per month

Qualification :
Essential:
• First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or Biotechnology; OR
• Second-class postgraduate degree, including the integrated PG degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics or Biotechnology, with a PhD.

Desirable Qualifications :
• Prior hands-on experience in stem cell biology, including isolation, culture, characterization, and differentiation.
• Experience in cardiovascular research and molecular and cell biology, with a good academic record.

Age Limit : Maximum 35 years
